Paid for breakfast, staff not replenishing breakfast buffet, dirty tables not cleaned we had to clean them so we can sit down and have breakfast. Staff lolled like they didn't want to work there. Simple call to get room freshened up as we had a little one request was ignored. My wife saw bed bugs on one of the sofa bed. All guests complaining about the same issues. Very prehistoric in terms of aesthetics not family friendly only booked as it ws the closest hotel to peppa pig world. Definitely will not reccoment it.

Large room

We had to wait 25minutex to check in as receptionist was making beds. She was the only staff member working on a busy bank holiday weekend. We booked 2 single and 1 double and got 1 small double 1 extra large double. Family of 4 only 2 towels in the room. Breakfast only 1 waitress and hotel was so busy. Most breakfast was running out and nobody to clear the tables. No coffee machine

The location was ok

Cleanliness of all space, including leisure facilities. Decor of the hotel was dated and extremely tired, including wallpaper coming off of the bedroom walls. Rubbish left in the halls Uncomfortable beds at different heights and made us feel sea sick. Bathroom dirty and shower door wouldn't close. Noisey and hot with no temperature controls for the room.

Asked for quiet room??? Got a noisy neighbour and quite noisy outside. So very little sleep!

Arrived at hotel approx 4pm, room should have been ready, told by reception, room not ready take a seat in the bar and I would be informed when it was ready. 30 minutes later I saw lots of people booking in so I re-joined the queue to see if I could check in. My room was ready and I checked in, though no staff bothered to inform me of this. The room was out dated, tired and lacking any modern furniture with a dirty great iron stain on the tatty carpet. I expected the room to have a double bed, however it was just 2 single beds put together, with that awful dividing ridge between the 2 beds. Shower cubicle was old, and the shower water took a while to recede down the plug hole. Take it the shower trap is probably full of hair and grime and needs a clean out, with Mr Muscle unblocker!! Breakfast on the whole was ok, though at 8.20am I had to ask the waiter chap for juice as both containers were empty. Overall my hotel experience was poor, this is NOT a 4 star facility as it purports to be on the website, I would rate this as a 2 star hotel. If this hotel has been refurbished and had an upgrade since all asylum seekers departed in late 2023, then personally I fail to see it. Would not stay here again or recommend to anybody.

Gym was decent

Very dated decor. No USB in rooms. And seriously, what hotel doesn’t even have fresh coffee in 2026 (just a big pot of Nescafé available at breakfast)
