Hilton Garden Inn Tampa East Brandon

Room was clean and neat. Keurig was a blessing. TV was good. Bed was clean and relatively comfortable. Pillows were good. No odors on bed.

Odor of perfumed cleaner was overwhelming. Bathtub had been painted and paint was peeling. Sink faucet was broken off sink. Ice maker on floor was broken - had to go to another floor for ice. Water pressure in shower was inadequate.

The breakfast was excellent! The front desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.

The location was very remote- not good at all. Parts of the hotel were nice - parts were not. I expected so much more for the price .

Love the staff an cleanliness. Did not like that is gym is closed for remodel and 0 progress on it , as in no one in there daily and should be a priority. For me fitness is a priority on where I stay.

Staff is very attentive an friendly. Hotel is clean and smells good. Safe area and lots of nice restaurant options.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. Checked in using the app. Was assigned the 3rd floor, but requested the top floor (6th), as there is usually less noise there. On the hotel website, it was mentioned that renovations were going on, so I chatted with the hotel and asked if the rooms on the 6th floor had been renovated. They assured me that ALL rooms were renovated. So, chose a room on floor 6. Upon arriving at the hotel, and walking through the hallway to the elevator, the dust smell was so strong is almost choked me. Got out of the elevator on the 6th floor, and the carpet was covered with plastic. One whole end of the hallway had plastic over it, and those rooms had been completely gutted. Loud, dusty renovations going on. I wasn't going to be walking in the hall much, and presumed the workers would quit before bedtime...which they did. The room was OK, and if it had been renovated, as I was told, they forgot about the bathtub. It was disgusting, with paint peeling off of it..(see photo) I don't think I would stay here again. Didn't look like the renovations are close to being completed, and you can't trust the staff manning the app chat to tell you if your room has been renovated or not!

The rooms are poorly maintained, with ac/heating systems that are not properly functioning and not cleaned so when heat was turned on manually, the heater smelled like burning hair and dust - we have little kids and they were coughing from the smell - it was either we freeze or breath toxic fumes; the bathtub was clogged and didn't drain so kids couldn't take a bath; there was no functioning vent in the bathroom so smells and shower mist would not be drawn out; the body wash bottles were missing and when I notified front desk they promised to take care of it but did not; there were 4 people per room but they only provided two towels, we had to go to the front desk to take an extra towel; the breakfast was not complementary, small selection and overpriced; there was no manager whenever we requested to speak with one; we did early check out and just as when we were checking in there were no luggage carts available. The front desk told us that other people have them in "their rooms" but we saw maintenance crue using them instead. We asked to use one and they refused so we had to carry our heavy bags by hand from second floor.

I didn't like no handicap assist to room. No handicap facilities, or rooms. I will stay over and over if facilities can be easy for me, I am handicap ♿️ THIS FACILITY IS NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY.
