I loved the tropical like shrubbery. It felt like Hawaii!

Not being able to check in early. Check in is 4pm. We got there at 230. We were in our room by 345.

The staff were very polite, the location is very convenient (almost 10 minutes from all important locations). The rooms are nice and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

The gym was basic only had 3-4 equipment.

My stay was positive and I was able to sleep undisturbed. Family friendly (I heard children at the pool and saw senior groups on the first floor, young couples too). Room was spacious, and clean. Budget friendly. Overall security of the location seemed safe. Mini fridge, huge flat screen tv with cable, lots of shampoo and conditioner. Housekeeping is good. Free parking, never had trouble finding a space, didn't worry about my car . From the 2nd floor facing the site front parking lot and hot tub area, It wasn't too noisy when I slept, the AC provided some white noise, the traffic noise wasn't noticeable. Desk and desk chair, plus 2 armchairs. As said before, this is a spacious room (1 queen). It is in an easy driving location to attractions, shops and restaurants including UCSD.

Usb outlets in the lamp didn't work, my mobile phone didn't like the power and/or current from the lamp ac outlets n when I plugged my charger in, so I had to switch to charging my phone from the sink area ac outlet and couldn't keep my phone next to the bed. Maybe there was a wall outlet by the bed,but I didn't look for it. Room Phone front desk button didn't work. No elevator, one set of outdoor stairs to the 2nd floor felt unsafe/questionable to use, so I used the other set of stairs. Some tolerable noise from outdoors, at least the people talking outside on the first floor hot tub area quieted down well before 10pm. During my entire 4-night stay the place quieted down well before 10. Shower water pressure is a bit too strong. No shower gel, just hotel bar soap. Bring your own. The plentiful shampoo and conditioner left my hair frizzy, so maybe bring your own. I did not venture out for a walk by myself because the surrounding streets didn't seem safe or pleasant for a walk.
