The Rockley by Ocean Hotels

Follow on stay after a week Tui cruise, great location and a well run friendly, hotel, not too big, quiet, easy to nearby beach, suite rooms are very good, bus on the doorstep, good eating options within east walking. What's not to like!!

We are back home after a fantastic week at the fabulous fun funky Rockley Hotel. Right across the road from the Rockley beach, the hotel have complimentary tickets for loungers and parasols right by ocean. The breakfast omelette was a favourite, made fresh for you. The Caribean curry was our faviurite in the restaurant ( can i have the recipe please). Our room was fantastic, large comfy bed and pillows and fabulous view. This area is grat for expolring. Thank you to all the team at the Rockley, you all go above and beyond. We will be back.

Great food, excellent service. Visited here as we were walking by and liked the look of the menu. The staff are friendly and extremely polite, food took a while to come but was fresh and tasty. Tapas are great. The burger was prob the best we had had in a while. I would definitely recommend to drop in for food. Nice bar area around pool as well.

Nice room. It was probably the worst $500 + per night place I have ever stayed and I have stayed in many. Value wasn’t there. Breakfast was the quality of a chain lower cost motel. It was so basic. On Saturday at 11 am they started hedge trimming the courtyard and pool area. They stopped at 6 pm. Seven hours of trimming and leaf blowing noise at the pool and bar area. Sunday at 11am the trimming started up again. We checked out fortunately.

We’ve had an incredible stay at The Rockley. We stayed for 10 days and from start to finish it’s been excellent. The staff are exceptional. We are two girls in our mid 20’s and were always made to feel safe and welcome, nothing was ever too much trouble. They all made our stay and we were sad to say goodbye. Special mentions to Troy, Brett, Janeil, Tyrique, Sha quan, Krystal, Charessa and Seth. But honestly they were all brilliant. The pool area is nice and it’s a very short walk across the road to Rockley beach where you can also get tokens for the sun loungers from reception. Our room was a good size and the cleaners did a great job everyday. Breakfast had a good variation each day and the food in the evening was delicious, especially the tacos! The bar was fantastic, great atmosphere and drinks, and an added bonus was how friendly all the other guests were. Karaoke is also very worth going to on a Sunday, as well as the managers cocktail party. The Rockley organised a trip to the horse races which was a really fun day out and a good way to meet other guests. Whilst we were there, Troy consistently made sure we were all enjoying ourselves and found us great seats. Overall, it’s been an unforgettable trip. The Rockley exceeded our expectations and we would 100% return without hesitation. If you’re thinking about staying here — do it!!

Great location because it's just across from a very nice beach with safe swimming. The hotel provides tickets each day for sun beds and sun shades on the beach.

From arrival to departure we had a fantastic two weeks holiday at The Rockley Hotel. Great location and great food. All the staff make you feel so welcome and go above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely return. We booked The Rockley Restaurant to celebrate our Mom's 61st Birthday. The booking process was seamless, the restaurant team were pleasant and very helpful. On arrival to the restaurant, the hostess greeted us with a smile and we were directed to our seating area, where we were immediately presented with our water options and menus. We were consistently checked on throughout the night, the menu was extensive and the food was well presented in a timely manner. The hostess was exceptionally helpful and accomdating to the kids in our party, where she went above and beyond to ensure they too had a great night. The overall experience was amazing and affordable and our mum was even presented with a complimentary birthday dessert. I must also mention that the ambience of the restaurant was also above standard and the washroom facilities were very clean. We will definitely return!
