This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. From the moment we walked in, the entire hotel and our room reeked strongly of stale cigarette smoke. In the lobby, there was a couch cover that appeared to be used to hide rips or stains, which was already a red flag. The room itself was extremely dirty. The sink and counter had visible hair and dirt on them. There was dirt all over the bathroom floor, and the shower was visibly dirty as well. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned. We checked in around 4:00 pm specifically to use the pool. At check-in, we were told there was no hot tub—only jetted tubs in select rooms—despite the hotel website clearly indicating a hot tub. In the pool area, the water was so heavily chlorinated that it was bright blue and the kids couldn’t see underwater even while wearing goggles. The pool perimeter was made of white-painted metal, with nearly half the paint flaked off, leaving sharp edges exposed. The tables around the pool had chipped paint falling onto the floor. There was clearly once a hot tub in the corner of the pool area, but it had been filled in and tiled over, which felt misleading given the online description. We let the kids swim for about 35–40 minutes, during which time I was on hold with Priceline explaining the cleanliness and safety concerns. After that, we changed back into our clothes in the cigarette-smelling, dirty room and immediately checked out. When checking out, the owner was visibly annoyed and argumentative, especially regarding the pool concerns. I explained that the issues had already been reported to Priceline and that they had contacted the hotel. He continued to argue, at which point I simply said goodbye and left. Between the filth, misleading amenities, unsafe pool conditions, and extremely poor customer service, I would never recommend this establishment to anyone.
