The lady at the front desk was very helpful to me, with directions and storing my luggage on my last day there. Sunday brunch was amazing. Staff in general were friendly and helpful. Neat and clean hotel. Great location for all the sites that the area has to offer (Longwood Gardens, antique shopping, other museums, etc.).
Enjoyed an excellent stay at the Mendenhall Inn. Breakfast was more than satisfactory. King bed in the room appeared new with quality linens. Restaurant was top notch. Menu was comprehensive with enough options to please everyone. Food was delicious. Will stay there again on our next visit to Longwood Gardens.
Got there a little early 1:30 room not ready, no problem, breakfast was very good, coffee was fresh and brewed. Room- toilet seat anchor bolt broken. Security latch was missing

Few hotel guests so the place is quiet. Location is in "horse country" and serene yet there is shopping and restaurants within a 5-10 min drive. This is our second stay at this hotel and we will stay again. I did not appreciate the surprise of being charged $10 for early check-in. We arrived 90 min before their check in time which was 4pm. Had this been posted on their Expedia page, I would not have been annoyed and would have requested an early check-in. I requested a room near the elevator as I am recovering from surgery which they accommodated. However, the room sign indicated it was for handicap. I was surprised to see a chair at the desk that had wheels (not handicap accessible nor safe. I requested an exchange of chairs so I could use the desk. The registration assistant could
The room was clean and nice especially the king bed - very comfortable mattress! The shower was also very nice with great water pressure. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Last but certainly not least was the delicious dinner at their restaurant!
I highly recommend Mendengall Inn for anyone seeking a relaxing, luxurious getaway. I can't wait to return!
My wife and I often go to Longwood Gardens during the year and have stayed at almost every hotel in the vicinity. However, this was our first experience here, and we were truly impressed. The hot breakfast in the morning is outstanding, featuring a lovely atmosphere, genuine dishes, real silverware, and excellent service from the staff. The bed was fantastic. I slept very soundly. I strongly recommend this exceptional service at a great value.
