Relax Inn

I checked-in in July and checking out ten weeks later. My stay here was not bad. Clean rooms, quiet, excellent location to Richmond. The owner and his staff were nothing but friendly and courteous to me. I have stayed at other hotels in Richmond before hearing about this place from co-workers and it is the best value for the money from my experience, $181.50 per week. During my stay the hotel was under renovations, exterior painting, some concrete work and light carpentry. Most of it was cosmetic improvement to the buildings. In my building, room 402, the water pressure was lower compared to other places I had stayed but the hot water was never a problem. The flouresnt light over the bathroom sink had some issues but the owner said he wasn't an electrician and wouldn't fix it, the starter was going out and took a few minutes to turn on some times. One concern I had was the door to my room. The locks worked fine but you could see light around the top and side. I would not want to stay here in the winter my room would be drafty. The Wi-Fi works most of the time, it has a tendency to slow down or disconnect during peak usage. I moved out of the Relax Inn to move into the apartment complex 2 blocks away saving me $280 a month. There is nothing fancy about this hotel but it is clean and a good value for the price compared to other hotels in the area. I have recommended this place to others. If I return to Richmond for a short visit I would stay here again.

The hotel is now called Relax Inn. I was in the process of relocating from Georgia and I stayed here for a month. The rooms are very clean and well maintained no bugs or roaches. The location is in a quiet and safe place .....and about a block away are the police headquarters for the Richmond area. It is surrounded by other hotels, but it is amongst the nicest and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and helpful....also it is one exit away from the Richmond mall and town area.

My husband and I relocated to Richmond and we were in the process of buying a home so we stayed here for 3 weeks. It is nothing fancy but it is clean, quite, conveniently located close to town. The rooms are nice but dated and the bed is super comfortable. The place has been renamed to the Relax Inn and has new owners. The owners were very nice and were willing to work with us on the long term rate. I would stay here again!

this hotel was very dusty and caused my allergies went crazy. the bed was harder than the floor, where i slept, and the sheets were so itchy that i felt as though i had bugs all over me. the only part of the hotel stay that was ok was the desk clerk was polite. there were men partying in the parking lot outside my room almost all night, so we were kept awake and I felt unsafe in our stay. The free breakfast was nothing more than a donut and milk. overall this was a bad hotel stay.

Well, I have stayed at 5 Star in midtown NYC and lots of Hampton Inns etc. Now this place is not welcoming from the outside. But to be honest the rooms we got were clean. Seemed to have new carpet. smelled fresh, and bathroom was spotless. It was fine for an overnight off the highway. Didnt bother with breakfast.TV worked fine. for $29 it was actually a bargain.

I'm not even going to waste my time writing a lot. This was an absolute dump!!! One of the worst places I never stayed. We arrived at the hotel and checked in at the Reception Building. She gave us our keys and we drove to our room. While driving through the lot I felt like I was driving through low income neighborhood. The sketchiest of people just hanging out not even looking liked they were visitors. We took one step into the room and walked right back out and drove to the Reception Building and checked out. Let's put it this way, I would even let my child touch the floor much less anything else. You have been warned!!!!
