"God mat och bra spa! "

Det tog (väldigt) lång tid att checka in och ut men annars var det bra, jättenöjda med vårt Lux-rum verkligen! God mat i paviljongen! Härligt spa med flera uppvärmda utomhuspooler och jacuzzi, verkligen värt att lägga till i sin vistelse!

"Das negative Gefühl hat überwogen"

Uns war bewusst, dass das Hotel gerade renoviert wird. Aber dass es im Zimmer mit Blick auf die Baustelle keinen Kasten oder sonstige Möglichkeit gab, die Wäsche zu verstauen, den Koffer außer auf dem Boden abzulegen bzw. der fast manngroße Spiegel einfach an die Wand gelehnt war und somit ein Sicherheitsrisiko darstellte, können wir nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Das einzig Positive war das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet.

Beliggenheten/Omgivelsene er helt fantastisk. Hotellet er under oppussing både inne og ute. Her blie det enda finere når de blir ferdig. Lett å komme seg ril Stockholm sentrum med buss. Før vi bestilte opphold fikk vi med oss at barn under 16 år ikke fikk tilgang til spa. Vi reiste på tur med to barn på 11 og 15 år. Det er vanskelig å skjønne at de kun hadde tilgang til bassenget mellom 08:00 og 11:00 - altså mens det er frokost. For dette koster det 250,- per barn. Dette kan ikke kalles familievennlig

Vistelsen blev tyvärr inte som vi hade tänkt oss, rummen är i väldigt dåligt skick, smutsiga fönster, dåliga sängar och överlag väldigt slitet, renoveringen dom gör behövs verkligen. Frukosten höll en låg standard, saknades lite frukter, bröd och goda juicer. Hotellet kommer förmodligen att bli superfint och fräschare men hade avvaktat att bo där tills det är klart.

"Restaurant Experience at the Paviljong Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden"

I rarely leave bad reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent dining experience. My partner and I both ordered the entrecôte and clearly specified numerous times that we wanted the meat fully cooked, not pink and no blood but also not overdone and tough. This was very important to me, as someone who was a vegetarian for over 30 years and is still cautious when it comes to eating meat. When the meals arrived, the steaks looked beautiful on the surface, nicely seared and browned. However, when we cut into them, they were red inside and leaking blood. Not even pink, but visibly undercooked. This was both disappointing and concerning, especially considering I had made my preferences very clear, and the bartender had even recommended a medium to well-done option based on what I said. To add to the frustration, the cuts of meat were full of fat with very little actual edible meat. This was especially disappointing at 495 SEK per steak. For a meal where we spent over 1600 SEK in total for food and drinks, I genuinely expected much higher quality and care. During our time eating no-one came by our table to ask if everything was ok and normally that would be fine but under the circumstances would have been welcomed. Our group of three had waited a fair while for the food, which we were fine with as it was such a lovely day but discovering the meat was essentially raw inside after all that time, was frustrating. My friend encouraged me to complain as I had left my food but by then it was late, the food was getting cold, and the idea of extending the evening further just made me want to leave. In addition to the poor handling of our request, I want to mention a more serious point: food safety. According to the Swedish Food Agency (Livsmedelsverket), whole cuts like entrecôte must have the surface thoroughly seared to ensure safety (which is was) especially important when customers request well-done meat. While rare steak is not inherently unsafe when handled properly, when a guest explicitly requests fully cooked meat, especially at a respected hotel, this should not be overlooked. It’s a matter of both respect and food hygiene. What’s most disappointing is that this should never have happened at a reputable hotel restaurant. When dietary preferences and clear instructions are communicated and repeated, they should be respected and handled with care. I genuinely think I might have had a more satisfying 'beef' experience at McDonald’s. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos but spoke to the receptionist on leaving the hotel. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as both attention to food quality and food safety should be expected and not hoped for in this kind of establishment. The hotel itself is incredible, the surroundings are beautiful and the place location is idyllic with the harbour in front as well as the staff were friendly and pleasant.

Vaikka hotelli on nyt remontissa oli majoitus ihan ok. Tosin parvekkeella ei ollut tuoleja ja siellä oli lokinpoikanen jota vartioi kiukkuinen emo... Oltiin tilattu alkuun kuoharit ja hedelmävati ja ne jäivätkin kokonaan saamatta vaikka niitä pariin otteeseen kysyttiinkin.. Majoitus on sijainniltaan hyvä ja mukava mutta ravintola siellä ei niinkään.

Although the property was under renovation, it was still an incredible experience staying there. The renovation activities weren’t bothersome at all. And the area was absolutely beautiful and perfect for relaxing walks to dinner, etc.
