We recently enjoyed a week in Vilamoura and stayed here. It was all as advertised. Good facilities, friendly staff and lovely pool area and spa. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was standard fare and there was love music regularly. It is very conveniently located as not far from Faro airport and close to marina’s shops and restaurants. It was a really lovely stay

Staff are the most friendly and hardworking we have come across. They were obviously well trained. We stayed half board, as mentioned in other reviews we had to stick to a set menu at dinner with 3 choices of main and desserts and vegetable soup for all 14 days, unless you wanted prawn salad. Granted it was all waiter service but I would have appeciated a buffet service with a greater variety as in most hotels. The menu was exactly the same for the second week. There is a distinct lack of info from the hotel as it took us a week to find out that you can ask for certain changes to the menu if the chef is agreeable. There is a decent barbecue once weekly, but the first week saw the cheese/desserts left outside and covered in flies. I have read the reviews on breakfast but none of them mention the cooked breakfast being cold, well, they were, no matter how early we went, the slimy cold eggs literally slid off the plates. Avoid if you can or you might get lucky one morning, which should not be the case in a 4 star hotel. Rooms require updating and smelt of sewage 3 to 4 times over our stay We did ask for a room change but the alternative was a pool view which at the time was very loud, I got round the smell by plugging the sink and bidet overflows with toilet roll and closing the plugs on both, so follow this tip, but we should not have to be doing this in a highly priced 4 star hotel (we paid £5000 plus for 2 weeks HB) they need to sort this out via maintenance. You get a cheap garden plastic table with 2 cheap plastic chairs on the tiny balcony, we did spend a lot of evenings out here but the furniture is what you would expect in a 2 star hotel. Entertainment if you want it is nearly non existent unless you count on a female singer a couple of mornings at breakfast or a duo a couple of times a week in the bar, they tried their best but the quality is not up to 4 star standards I reiterate that the staff are excellent but the hotel is at best 3 star, I must mention at this stage that there is no TUI rep for the hotel and no information on trips etc to book, so you need to arrange trips etc on you own.

The hotel and staff were amazing. Myself and my wife celebrated our wedding anniversary on our arrival date and the hotel very kindly had a lovely gift in our room for us. The facilities were fantastic, clean and comfortable. We decided to go half board for our stay and the choice's both at breakfast and dinner could not be faulted. Lovely fresh and very well presented food. The staff at the hotel are incredible. Polite, professional and efficient. Nothing was a problem for them. The hotel is within walking distance of the marina and while passing traffic can be heard around the pool area during the day,at night the hotel is quiet and peaceful and noise was never an issue. We were disappointed to hear that the hotel is to temporarily close at the end of the season for a full renovation as we particularly loved the traditional character of the place. We hope it doesn't change the ambience of the place too much Noel

Desta vez não fiquei num quarto com vista o que me deixou muito triste porque a vista e o local são o melhor do hotel
