Friendly staff good servise

Charged £100 when checking in. Not noted anywhere when booking. Couldn’t really understand what the staff were saying behind reception. From what I understood we were told no room service even though this was mentioned on the website. Breakfast included is poor which led us not to even bother. Apparently a 5* hotel. I’ve went to 3/4* that were way above the standard of this hotel. Dirt in places. Chip marks on the furnishings. Room needed a paint. In our last night, someone walked into our room and when they realised we were in there took off. Fire alarm went off 3 times for no reason. I honestly couldn’t with a clear conscience recommend this place to anyone. A waste of money and a real shame as the area is fantastic.

Check-in took a while. Bed was described as king-size when booking, but it was actually a queen-size, which was disappointing.

Great cosy stay This hotel is in a beautiful location, well presented and lovely staff We didn’t have dinner as we’d eaten on the way at the amazing House of Bruar but the breakfast was served to our table and set us up for the day! I imagine this is a gem in the snow or the sun - highly recommend

Lovely place to stay however on website states 24 hour room service which we found out isn’t offered during your stay.

Very friendly staff, beautiful location. The hotel sits on the village square in lovely Kinloch Rannoch. There are beautiful walks nearby or from the door. I requested a downstairs room and was allocated a fully disabled adapted one which seemed comprehensively adapted with a wet room and shower seat, and was close to the entrance with level access. The lighting was a bit dim at nighttime. More generally the hotel has been recently adapted and upgraded since the pandemic. I loved the old style (we have visited intermittently over the years) but the new look has its charm too. There is now a courtyard behind the hotel which looks as though it will offer very nice outdoor seating in summer. Food was mainly very good.

Hotel ok But stay away as hotel is in receivership they didn’t tell anyone about this You cannot get any breakfast & if u do it will take 2 hrs to get any cooked breakfast & then it’s more likely to never turn up, dirty plates of food everywhere must of been there for ages As for evening meal took for ever food was cold & burnt not something easy to do Stayed for 2 nights room never got cleaned On leaving we complained but they didn’t seemed bothered about it then we found out that they are in receivership & owe lots of money Such a shame as hotel in lovely location & looks amazing but don’t be fooled like us & everyone else who was staying at this time

Lovely hotel and setting but the food was so bad, freezing cold and took a long time considering only 6 of us in the whole restaurant, menu also didnt include what was said to be on the menu, Homemade bread was acutally just hovis sliced bread. One member of staff was good the rest were fairly blunt.

Stayed here for a long weekend in December. Lovely hotel, easy check-in, nice reception and nice rooms. Continental breakfast was enough and booked dinner twice. Menu was reduced as off-season I guess but all the food no they were was great. Really nice staff although I think several of them are new to hospitality so could do with some extra training. Defo stay here again

We loved our stay at Dunalastair. It was quiet (we had only 2 other guests while we were there) and had the restaurant to ourselves both for dinner and breakfast. The amenities were excellent and the rooms were comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
