The Capitol Hotel

Location was BEAUTIFUL with the capitol building right in your face, the view was awesome!

The rooms were definitely not cleaned well enough but it wasn't filthy and we were only there for 1 night so it wasn't the worst experience ever.

I was traveling to this  Hartford, CT town for my daughter Nike tournament weekend, i travel with my daughter and husband, I booked a room with 2 Double Beds Bed Standard (Bed and Breakfast), in February 3, 2026, prepaid charges, which was supposed to be after check out charged. but when I arrived in may 2nd 2026, the front desk men (which start arguments with me instead of apologizing, told us that the hotel was overbooked and was given a different room with a king bed instead. This was very inconvenient and not what I had reserved., my daughter have to sleep with us after a day of playing volleyball and tired. She did not rest well for next day tournament. Very disappointed for the service and room provided it was horrible experience.  Additionally, the towels and bed sheets were small and appeared worn out from overuse. The overall cleanliness of the room was disappointing, and the hotel itself felt dirty and gave off an unpleasant atmosphere. Overall, my experience was not satisfactory, and I would not recommend staying here.

Parking for $15 a night when already paying $180 for a room is a bit costly. Parking should be included for guests.

There are homeless people staying at the hotel.

The hotel is in poor condition.

It is not in good condition; that is why it now takes in all kinds of people.

We didn't stay, place has a funky smell n bed didn't appear to be clean, we left immediately, now awaits my refund
