Kelly Inn and Suites Mitchell

Not much.

The pool area was nasty, the pool and hot tub were not chemically balanced, brownish looking. When we were looking under the bed for a shoe we found a coke can, garbage and some other items. Vending machines didn't work. None of the doors were locked even over night. When I walked in and ask for keys to a room they just made keys and didn't even ask for ID. Security wise very scary.

Nice set up. Breakfast good. Location great.

Pillows had spots and hair . Bathtub. Rust and mold. Swimming needs to be open longer

Bed very comfortable. Hotel is a little older but has been kept in good shape. Good location. AC worked perfectly in the room. Recommend!

Rather than booking on-line, I called to make the reservation. The agent made a big deal of getting my 2 cats in for free. Turns out, Kelly Inn has a policy of allowing pets in for free. I deeply appreciate that. I remember when this hotel was built 30 years ago. It's definitely showing its age. The closet door would not shut. The refrigerator was not cold. I have serious doubts if the sheets were clean and the "leather" bed skirt was a mess. I was told 2 Kelly Inn hotels have closed in this state. Corporate management doesn't seem to care. The breakfast was nice and the kitchen area was kept clean. The location worked well for us.

The location was ideal. Breakfast was dissapointint. There were no plates to eat the hot breakfast. When I went to the front desk and told the attending, she replied that they had ran out yesterday. The special Olympics had cleaned them out. So the kids and I were just going to have cereal. The milk was rotten in the little cartons. We opend 3 to check before I went back to the front desk to let attending know that all of the milk in the fridge was spoiled.

It was freezing cold outside and my kids and i got to the motel about 11:30 pm. When we walked in our room the Air conditioning was set on Max Cold. We switched it to heat and jumped into bed. I woke up at 1:30am freezing. When I got up to check the heater it had died completely and wouldn't turn on. When visiting with an employee at the a nearby gas station she told me that in the last year they hear more and more visitors complaining of how Kelly Inn has gone down hill. And I have to agree. It used to be my favorite place to stay, but my last 2 stays have not been what they should. We will stay somewhere else more accommodating from now on.
