They called right after we checked in to make sure everything was okay. They were flexible with the check out time.

They had clearly done a renovation of our room with marble top fixtures, a king size bed, microwave, and refrigerator. It seemed like they hadn't got the job done. The only lighting was overhead. It would have been very nice to have a lamp next to the bed. It would have been nice to have a rack to hang towels on. It would have been nice to have a chair to sit in, as half the room was empty. And it would have been nice to have some cheap plastic cups to drink out of. A bonus would have been a coffee maker.

The room was very clean and the bathroom etc in great condition. There's also a gate so it was good to feel safe.

They where super nice and its a gated parking lot with direct access to a gas station at the front of the property within easy walking distance. Like where else are you going to match this quality and price with access to amenities within a 10-12 minute drive to the french quarters. Not to mention down the street is some great local food options that give you ridiculous amounts of food for cheap. The only down sides i can say is the water wouldn't just get as hot as i personally like and i love a good black out curtain or shade that blocks all light. Otherwise loved it.

I arrived a hr early and they are strict you cant check in until 2pm understandable and you cant park/sit on the lot until check in its a store next door I went and grabbed a drink and came back to im assuming the owner telling me I cant park there I said ive booked a room here im from out of town he says whats your name I said I dont have to tell you tht ,mind you we are just outside in the busy lot he is stranger to me but then he says cancel your reservation I dont want you staying here so I went and parked in another hotel lot until 2 pm came back to whr he let me check in with many rules as if travelers are not paying customers I did understand no smoking no vaping but No company im grown lol

Heat stopped working at 1 in the morning when it was below 40 outside. Owner said I had 10 minutes to leave of I wanted a refund because it had been all day and he could rent the room to someone else. He had just turned away walkins that he could give my room too. Again at 1am after i had been at the room already for the day. THIS COULD BE YOU GETTING MY ROOM! Would not give me time to look up another hotel. I had to decide to stay and get an extra blanket or try to find a hotel from my car at 1 am in 30 to 40 degree weather during mardi gras. Fortunately the heat came back on just as I was gathering my things after being off for an hour or 2. I decided to be practical and take a shower while it was working and cross my fingers that it would not go off again. Ah yes...when he cam in because it had power he said its working its just not blowing hot air right now....when i just now came into your room from outside i can feel a difference in temeperature. He taught me a valuable lesson to avoid mom and pop hotels and always have a backup place planned ahead.
