Inn at Northrup Station

We generally avoid hotels because even the overpriced fancy 5 star properties are boring, institutional, and depressing. NOT this place. The rooms and all public spaces were happy, interesting, and comfortable. We loved having a couch, coffee maker, and refrigerator in the room, and the yoga mat was a big bonus. Free parking, comfortable bed, friendly staff. And very reasonably priced. Bars, restaurants in walking distance and street car passes to get anywhere you need to go. It doesn't get any better than this.

The Inn @ Northrup is in walking distance of Good Samaritans Hospital. Was very convenient to not have to stay all the time in the hospital while my husband recovered. The front desk staff and booking staff were Very Helpful. The room was cute, comfortable and very clean. Having a full kitchen was a great bonus with my special diet. I would Highly Recommend a stay @ Inn @ The Northrup!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed free passes for the tram to get around town. The location was excellent and there were many places within walking distance. Our room was a suite with kitchenette which worked out very well for us.

The hotel is very close to public transport (Northrup Station). The location is also quiet (save the passing off the train!) and chic, much like the hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

The televisions next to the bed are pretty old - they predate HDMI. Don't bother with streaming services on these.

Love the retro atmosphere, and the rooms are surprisingly inexpensive for the area. Note that the Portland Street Cars share the street, starting early in the morning. They're not any louder than a truck going by, and it's a low pitched rumble that we found very pleasant. The continental breakfast is nothing to write home about, but there's certainly enough to make a meal: a few cold protein choices, fresh fruit, and bread & bagels. And they have very good coffee, all day!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Love the decor all around the building! Appreciated the free onsite parking and the street car tickets.
