The hotel was absolutely brilliant. Food was good, staff were very hospitable. There is not a lot to do around the hotel and everything is a taxi ride away

The setting of this property situated above the beach, being an easy walk down and I love the fact the hotel and accommodation doesn't dominate the skyline. This hotel has a family feel about it and the staff cannot do enough for you and although we are in Covid era, it felt safe and clean in all areas. Gorgeous sunsets dining outside and if you need to relax this is the hotel. Lots of activities in the area and places to explore.

Great check in, friendly staff and the President of Portugal was also staying there! My third stay here and will be staying again.😁

From outside the building was very impressive and so were the grounds.The communal areas were tastefully done and spacious except for the dining areas where the tables were very close to each other so you couldn’t converse privately. The games room only had a pool table in it and not much else. There were little steps throughout the building that I am amazed no one has tripped up or down as it’s a dark hotel and you don’t always realise they are there. Our room was grubby and we were on the sixth floor that had a balcony,but when sat in the chairs we could not see the sea etc as the wall was up to eye level. The bedding,towels and bathrobes were old and worn out.The bath was very small and there were cracks in the floor tiles. The staff were very pleasant and helpful,but distant. The music played on the piano at breakfast although beautifully done was very depressing to start the day off.The entertainment was what I would expect in a 3 star hotel. There was no atmosphere here ,quite an odd feeling. The pool area was good,but worn out towels and the umbrellas were stained. We had a lovely big bed,but it had too many layers beneath and the duvet was thick making it hot to sleep in. When the wind was up it howled through the apartment very loudly There was nothing to do ,but sit on a beach which you now have to pay to hire the loungers or go into the town.One you have done that it’s boring. We caught the tour bus to Portimao which was like a concrete jungle.

Beautiful place, great location, service for breakfast buffet wasn’t that good, took for ever to get coffee...or tea...and that’s all staff had to do

Property was beautiful and the staff was very helpful and attentive to any of our needs. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel needs major upgrades. Even the bathroom faucet broke down and needed the maintenance man to come and spend time to fix it. With the exception of the staff in the restaurant ( Diego, Nunez) and the Katlyn at the entrance), most of the staff including reception need major customer service training. For the price we paid (more than any of the 5 star hotels we have stayed in Portugal), this one did not meet our expectations. There are other places one can stay in the area for better price and better experience. However, we mayst say, Diego in the restaurant and his manager Nunez as well as Kathlyn who greeted us ever day were exceptional employees who really care about their customers. Those were the ones who made a difference.

The view of beach was very nice and the beach access was excellent. Staff was very friendly, but sometimes not very attentive. The daily room charge holds, even when prepaid in full, is unacceptable. I understand an incidental credit card hold, but to recharge me almost $300 a night ties up additional funds on people’s cards. The showers are also very small. For a 6ft 200lb for person, I found it hard to even turnaround in the cruise ship size shower.

The location was fantastic. Access to the beach in seconds.
