The room was like a sauna. No AC and a fan only in the room circulating warm air. It has been very warm weather recently but I have since read reviews which also complain about this problem even in colder weather. I got zero hours sleep and have to say it was torture. I had 4 cool showers through the night to stop me passing out. Room 324

For the price I anticipated something rather less appealing - I was delighted with my choice of The Yorkshire - absolutely excellent value. The location of the hotel, close to the town centre, is a bonus. The buffet breakfast (price £13.95) selection is very good, and it's great to have off-street parking available (price £15/night, but free to Blue Badge holders). Also good restaurant in the hotel.

The space in the bedroom was a little tight, and the room was rather warm (in the June heatwave) as it faces the afternoon sun, and the windows had been left open also. However, a fan was provided. Otherwise the room was very comfortable and quiet despite its proximity to the road.

We checked into room 317 on one of the hottest days of the year the room was unbearably hot with one fan and a radiator into the bathroom that could not be turned off apparently after complaining to reception. We got back later on and the room was so hot it was unbearable to sleep in after complaining again to reception one member of staff was not helpful at all but the night porter moved us to another room 401 which was a gods send thanks so much sorry didn't get his name it's a nice hotel but surely the amount of money they must be making they could update it to have aircon

Very central Friendly, helpful staff throughout hotel, especially reception. Booked a suite, amazing. Beds very comfortable with very nice linen. Fluffy towels in bathrooms (we had two !) The weather was 30° plus. While there’s no AC fans are provided and they helped enormously. Whole hotel is immaculately kept. Breakfast was very good. Good quality, fresh, hot and plenty of choice. Had meal in Pickled Sprout, hotel restaurant. Food was delicious and plentiful. Average price. Service was first class and servers are friendly and helpful. I would recommend and we will definitely return. Thank you to all.

Prices were very acceptable for the level of service. The location is great. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Much better than previous Harrogate hotels that we have used.

The Wi-Fi in our room was not good and basically unuseable, despite advising reception. The lifts are small which means slow at busier times.

Wonderful location, great room with a fantastic view, everything was perfect in the room, delicious and ample breakfast. All at a very reasonable cost.
