"Very Good"

Location. Friendly staff. Pickled sprout restaurant very good.

My room backed onto the bins and was woken at 6.45 each morning listening to the bins being emptied

"Great Stay"

Ideal position lovely view of park and gardens from window, had all we needed in room. Breakfast was really good with a wide range of quality products. Even gave us a anniversary card in our room so thank you

"For the cost of the room it lacked a few luxuries ie box a tissues nicer coffee sachets etc."

The location was excellent right in the middle of town close to Betty’s Famous Tea Room. Nice views over the park from our room.

Not being able to have allocated parking. The noisy bar we sat in the small reception area. The room was quite cramped, the chair was right in front of the bed the wardrobe was very close to the bed not a lot of moving about room. Hard pillows.

Location. Decor Staff. Prices to stay and restaurants and bar. Very large comfortable bed with beautiful outlook

We requested a bath. Completely understand it wasn’t granted . We did get an upgrade but the shower pressure was virtually non existent

It's in a very central location and makes the town centre easily walkable. The 5th floor breakfast room is very smart with great views

The hotel parking is very restrictive with little nearby and the booking.com.site does not make it clear that the hotel parking is £15.

"Like sleeping in a furnace"

We were allocated room 111 and as soon as we opened the door we were hit with a wall of heat. There were 3 fans in the room to circulate the hot air but it was unbearable. To add to this, the room had no windows so there was no chance of letting any cooler air in. The temperature outside was 16 degrees so it wasn’t even warm weather. We went to reception and asked to change room but were told the hotel was full. We hardly managed any sleep as it was so oppressive. It really should have been made clear when we booked in that the room was so hot and had no windows. Once I checked reviews for ‘hot room’ I found this is a long standing problem. We found the staff friendly and polite and the breakfast was good but we would have a better nights sleep in our car!
