Clean, staff and close to the beach

Tremendous odor coming from the sewage plant ! Had a suite overlooking the pool and ocean that we couldn’t even enjoy..

Staying here and renting a car was perfect. Think what you want but it is worth the extra you pay for the convenience and location for this resort. One minute walk from room to water. You are basically on the upper end of the beach so there is little foot traffic and the dedicated umbrellas and lounges are the best. Sunset dinner is worth it too.

Service of one restaurant very poor and unfriendly

Our room was excellent, very modern and beautifully maintained, the kitchenette was modern, well appointed updated with modern appliances and utensils. Everything we needed! This boutique resort was just what we were hoping for. Not a big resort, quiet the week we were there and a gorgeous beach literally just steps away. We beached in the AM and enjoyed the pool in the afternoons. The food and drinks at Passions and Horizons were excellent we ate most of our meals there. We visited some of the other resorts while we were there and were thrilled we selected the Amsterdam. We’ll definitely be back !

This was my second stay at Amsterdam Manor. 10 years ago I decided to try a boutique hotel instead of a high rise. This was not a disappointment. The Amsterdam is beautifully located across from the gorgeous Eagle Beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable with well equipped kitchenettes. My second stay was in February 2026 when an unexpected blizzard struck New England. All flights were canceled. It took days to book a flight home. The staff at the Amsterdam were so accommodating and helpful in finding us additional accommodations when they were already fully booked for the weekend. They could have over charged us like the airlines did. Instead, the found us a premium suite. You can tell this is a family owned business ready to go the extra mile and offer personalized serve to their guests. It's the only place I will stay in Aruba! I’ve visited Aruba about 3x before, but it was about 18 years ago and traveled with my mother. This time around, my partner had won the Price is Right and we were able to go on this vacation while our budget is small, so far we’ve had a magical time. Starting with the gentlemen, Bob who got us to our hotel and shared some updates on what’s what since I had some familiarity with the island. Upon arriving, we were welcomed by the friendly staff at the front desk and given some delicious rum cocktails. Bon Bini drinks!! Honne, part of the front desk staff was great! Giving us details and information while checking us in. She gave us a tour of the resort before showing us our room. I never previously stayed here but at other resorts near by. I remember going to Passions for drinks and seeing this hotel but as an adult— I absolutely love the difference here. The resort feels more inviting and intimate- while so vibrant and quaint. The updated studio manor we are staying in so everything and more! The kitchen amenities allow us to walk to the nearby market and save money by cooking in our unit and then going out occasionally. The Horizon, is one of the on-sight restaurants we went to after getting settled in. We ordered the salmon and it’s was mouth watering. Cooked to perfection with a cream sauce and spinach. Let’s just say our plate was cleaned by the time we finished. The crème brûlée was a chefs kiss to our first meal! Then the live music began. Day 2 we hung out by the pool and did some walking later in the evening. Day 3 we did the beach. It’s awesome they provide the chairs and floaters for their guests. The sand is so nice and the water—- see through. The people are so nice here, from the guests to the staff. It’s truly one happy island. We cooked dinner at our room that evening and forgot to get ketchup and mayo, the staff at horizons handed us some bottles that were almost empty and said we could keep them— how thoughtful and kind. It really helped save us some extra money we spent on tomorrow’s excursion to De Palm Island! Highly recommended for a more relaxing time. We’re also located in between downtown and the high rise area so we’re able to walk! Truly thankful for everyone who has made this vacation wonderful.

We give them FIVE STARS on each point! You are family while you are their guest. The food was outstanding, the staff from groundskeeper to upper management are just outstanding. With all the kindness a person just doesn’t want to leave! At some resorts you are bothered by staff to book this or that extra; not the case at Amsterdam Manor. If you would like something extra, all you need to do is ask and your request is handled efficiently with the upmost care.

We tried Amsterdam Manor out for a short stay in Dec. We had always stayed up in the Palm Beach area for many years when we come down to Aruba.we stayed in big hotels with just a room. We LOVED IT here! We came for a week, booked a 1 bedroom suite, like a little apartment. We purchased food for some meals. It was so relaxing. We used both the pool and beach daily. So easy, just cross the street we always got loungers and an umbrella. The beach and water here is perfect. Calm and peaceful. The staff, front desk, housekeepers and bar/ dining are all friendly and helpful. You really feel like you are at your own little place while you are here. Suites outfitted with everything you need. Will definitely be back! Also Eagle beach area is much quieter and less hectic than Palm. You can walk to some dining places from here too.
