We were in Aruba for our anniversary. The hotel is on a beautiful beach but without the overcrowding of the high-rise hotels area. We had a rental car and it was easy to get to every place we wanted to visit. The room was spacious and modern. The room has a fridge, coffee maker, microwave, cooktop, and fully stacked with dishes and pots. The balcony was a nice added perk. There's a large supermarket within easy walking distance. We were able to buy fruit and berries to keep in our room and we even had a couple of dinners in the room when we didn't feel like going out. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. From the two onsite restaurants Passions was our favorite, hands down.

Struttura semplicemente meravigliosa, curatissima in ogni dettaglio e dal fascino unico, in perfetto stile coloniale olandese. Il resort è raccolto, elegante e incredibilmente tranquillo: ideale per chi desidera rilassarsi davvero e staccare completamente la spina. La posizione è impagabile, proprio di fronte a Eagle Beach, che a mio parere è la spiaggia più bella dell’isola. Direttamente sulla spiaggia si trova il ristorante Passions on the Beach, dove abbiamo fatto delle colazioni spettacolari, con una vista mare da sogno che da sola vale il soggiorno. A disposizione degli ospiti ci sono lettini e palapas, perfetti per godersi il mare in totale relax e comfort. La nostra camera era spaziosa, pulita e dotata di ogni comfort, incluso un comodissimo angolo cottura: per noi è stata davvero una seconda casa ad Aruba. Un ringraziamento speciale a tutto lo staff, sempre disponibile, gentilissimo e sorridente, capace di farci sentire accolti e coccolati in ogni momento. Un soggiorno che porteremo nel cuore!

Se proprio dovessi fare un appunto, non avere la possibilità di spegnere l’aria condizionata in camera.

The location is great, just north of Eagle Beach, next to the famous fofoti tree. The island is very small, so it's easy to drive around everywhere in a short period of time. It's a quiet hotel. No kids screaming in the pool, no loud music. A 2-story building that makes for an intimate experience We had a 1-bedroom suite with a king-size bed. Our 15-year-old son slept in the main room on a comfortable extra bed. The room was very clean and the housekeeper always replaced our pool towels before we even asked. The staff is so sweet and always happy to help. Whatever you need, you can count on their efficiency. The restaurant is okay. The main highlight is having dinner with your toes in the sand, admiring the sunset with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. If you have the opportunity to take your meals somewhere else, I suggest you do — it's pretty expensive for the quality, IMO. And the cocktails taste more like mocktails. Overall, we had a wonderful time at AMBR and we will definitely come back!!

We had a beautiful room on the second floor. Everything was so clean. The location is perfect. There were always umbrellas and chairs available on the beach. There was never a wait. The beach was amazing! If I go back to Aruba, I will definitely stay here again.

Amsterdam Manor is a very nice and very well run hotel. Away from the madness of the high rise Palm Beach area, it feels like 'coming home. Staff could not be more accommodating or room more comfortable. Excellent daily housekeeping and high quality food. This is not a 'resort' type hotel like one might expect but does have most amenities. Only gripe is situation on Eagle Beach in terms of getting chairs/palapas is getting worse...beach very crowded with Cruise Boat daily sun worshippers, and one must get to beach by 8am latest to have a good chance to grab a decent spot. Beaches are public so technically open to all...hotel says they charge for outsider use but rarely seen enforced. Need to make better effort to serve hotel customers on beach. That being said, it's a peaceful and relaxing escape from the winter weather. Aruba has become WAY overcrowded....but Amsterdam Manor retains its charm.

Nicely located at Eagle beach. Our rooms were not ready when we arrived. The office asked security to put our luggage in a safe place and provide us a place to change. Unfortunately, this man did not have any clue where things were. He opened the door to the boiler room at one point for us to change! He also had no idea what we were saying. This went on for about 20 minutes. No one from the office came out to assist even though they could see what was happening. Eventually, we were able to change. When our rooms were ready, we were pleasantly surprised that "Happy birthday" balloons were placed in our room! My daughter was very pleased with the size of the 2 bedroom suite they had. The landscaping was beautiful and the resort was very clean. Horizons bar/restaurant is onsite but has very limited hours (opens at 4, sometimes 5). Passions bar/restaurant is directly across the street and owned by Amsterdam Manor. We ate there several times. The food was good but service wasn't. The staff is not attentive (with few exceptions) and don't seem to enjoy their jobs. We spoke with other people who had the same read on the place. We stopped going there and found another venue at the Cabana that was great.
