Sundial Hotel

The location is great as it's at the top of the village with lots of parking and a great spot if you want to walk to the upper village. Room was amazingly big with full kitchen. The table is bolted to the ground so it's pretty solid if you run into it accidentally. Best part is we had one of the private hot tub rooms and with an amazing view of the mountains it was great. Atmosphere of the hotel is warm with a home feeling, everyone is extremely friendly. The one key factor of the 5 stars was the staff. Rachel at the front desk let us tour a room that we were interested in but couldn't book for future use. She was helpful with everything we needed as we were traveling with a 2 month old baby. Everyone we encounter from reception to maintenance was full of smiles. Peter was also helpful in making sure our stay was smooth, in fact the entire reception team was excellent. Also a big thanks to Jacob M for fixing an issue that arose with professionalism and communication. We will be back with a bigger group next time.

We very much enjoyed this property. Pete at the front desk was wonderful and having time each evening in the private rooftop hot tub was especially relaxing. The location was very good for us. We would definitely return !

If you don’t mind your room being above a rowdy bar with people screaming from mid afternoon then this is the hotel for you. The staff are lovely, rooms big and comfortable and a great location.

If you do mind your room being above a rowdy bar with people screaming from mid afternoon then this isn’t the hotel for you. It was like being tortured! My bad for not reading enough reviews so I had no idea about the noise. The mornings were lovely, pm and night not.

Rooms were spacious and supplied with minimal provisions. Beds and bedding were comfortable. Location next to the ski gondola and shops was excellent.

The rooms and furnishings were very dated and shabby. The cheap furniture looked old and abused. There was a closet in my bedroom making noise the first night so I was given another room. The ski room was nothing more than a closet. No changing facilities or lockers.

This was our first time in Whistler after hearing about it. It did not disappoint. Upon checking in at the Sundial Hotel, Gemma assisted us with dinner selection at the 21 Steps. We got settled in our suite which was very comfortable. The fireplace was an added bonus. After dinner Gemma assisted us by directing us to a sovereign shop. Prior to my visit the hotel staff directed to a nearby bakery to order a birthday cake. A member of the staff picked it up for me and had it delivered to my room before we arrived. This service was above and beyond. Thank you. Our stay in Whistler was wonderful!

This is our second time staying at the sundial hotel. First was about 8 years ago with just my wife and I (girlfriend at the time). We recently stayed with our two children and it was still such a wonderful place. The location is great, the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and thw view feom the hot tub is something else! They also have added EV charging which is a super plus. Will definitely be coming back and hopefully staying longer.
