The excellence in the service

The Hacienda is beautiful, but there is conflict between the style of the new build and the original hacienda. However, it was nice and the bedroom is comfortable.

I work in luxury hospitality consulting… so it is normally my job to point out what’s wrong in luxury accommodations such as this one. The staff do try, but they couldn’t not reach the level you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Amazing that they know your name, but pointless if they see you struggling carrying your luggage around and don’t bother offering their help. There is lack of organisation in reception, we were left waiting in the middle of reception, then they made sure their payment was the first thing they took and cared about. I get it, but in 5 star hotels… it does not go down like that. They have some free activities that are nice but it turns into a sales pitch and loses point for guests to listen to their amazing residences that they are building. We are staying for the hotel, not to buy a villa. Dinner was OK, staff do try, but again, additional training is required. Breakfast was as shocking as can be for their prices in a 5 star hotel, cold, unseasoned, bland, some items were OK, again, staff do try, but overall… It disappoints. Room was lovely, expected for their rates, however, in the evening it gets covered with insects, respecting nature at all times, I am sure something can be done for guests to enjoy the room terrace without beetles and cockroaches flying and landing everywhere on us. Overall. Potential is there. The expansion and transition from hacienda to residences is ruining it. Staff need plenty of training and further experience with luxury treatment towards guests. I won’t return nor would I recommend it.

Very nice and relaxing staff friendly helpful and cordial. They even made a xake and spacial plate to celebrate my Wife Birthday, really nice and caring. The Spa was really nice and they informed us all the way to the massagi. Relazing atmosphere in a perfect setting

Great experience and service. The only suggestion would be to improve the restaurants wine list.

We came to Merida for our 20th anniversary and to see Chicago. Stayed here based on a friends recommendation. The hotel confirmed the reservation several days in advance and asked if we required help with transportation and what time to expect us. Check in was painless staff extremely friendly, during our stay we we were greeted by our names property grounds are well maintained and beautiful. Restaurant and bar staff provided prompt attention to all our needs. Rooms were very comfortable, clean well stocked. Rooms cleaned and fresh towels daily. Coffee, water and tea provided daily. Main pool and bar staff outstanding especially Armin. He constantly checked on what we needed everyday including changing up the music as well as putting on the MLB when there were games. Special requests for cocktails were not a problem and used fresh local ingredients . The only downside is they changed their policy to allow smoking on the grounds. Unfortunately people were walking around the grounds and don’t care where they put their cigarette butts in the nice place

Es un lugar precioso, con atención de absolutamente todo el staff increíble, atentos a lo que necesitaras. Lo único es que el buffet es muy básico, el café quemado y en cuanto al servicio de restaurante, no nos pareció que los alimentos fueran top. Quizá sería buena idea techar el estacionamiento.

Mas que una hacienda es un hotel grande, con mucha vegetación, 3 albercas y mucho jardín. Exelente servicio, s hermosa, las habitaciinrs muy amplias,

The pool and staff were great. Armin took excellent care of us all week, ensuring we always had full drinks and dry towels. Cannot recommend him and the entire staff at the hacienda enough for your family vacation. We had a great time during our stay.
