Fairfield Inn & Suites Wheeling - St. Clairsville, OH

Nice, clean room. Staff was helpful and kind. However--warning to families of 5 that book through Expedia....traveling with 2 adults and 3 teens (pre-teen) children. Reservation online stated room included rollaway bed. However, upon check-in at 10:00 p.m., informed Fire Marshall does not allow roll away beds. Couldn't change room due to online booking. Beware of other hotels who may be limited in this way. Two-queen rooms will leave 1 family member on an air mattress or floor--and that's not how I want to have to travel. So, when the Expedia booking states that it sleeps "5" people, it may mean only 2 queen beds and no available rollaway for families. That's a difficult situation to be in when your kids are as big as you.

Responsive and quick Front Desk acknowledgement for both check in and out. Gluten free breakfast options (yogurt, scrambled or hard boiled eggs, turkey or pork sausage patties, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, apple or orange juice, fruit. Had zero issues with noise or doors slamming. Smart tv allows for streaming from personal device. Only issue was one of oir bathroom outlets didn't work.

It smelt like oranges as I walked through the hall, yet, there was no oranges in sight 🤔🤔

The staff is always friendly. The rooms are nice and comfortable.

Nice enough to lay your head down, but the beds were not comfortable, the pool was cold, wallpaper was peeling off the wall, and the room didn’t smell fresh. Location was great, breakfast was decent and staff were friendly.

All drains are blocked. Rooms are smelly. Breakfast was not good. No bread, no knives, coffee was cold not made in the morning. Staff were oka5. Swimming pool not working. Drains were blocked..Room service did not exist.
