Star of The Lakes

The staff was more interested in smoking out in front than coming in to check people in. The lobby was messy and dirty. Surprisingly, the room and beds were clean and comfortable. We canceled the second night and found a nicer motel.

I was skeptical about this hotel when I booked it mainly due to the price. I figured it could potentially be a dive however I was pleasantly surprised! The lobby and my room were very clean, comfortable bed and friendly service when I checked in.

Seemed short staffed. Person working front desk was also cleaning rooms leaving desk unattended. First room they gave us had not been cleaned yet. Second one did not have shower curtain, but they got us one. We were locked out of our room the second day because room keys didn’t work. Had to go find staff to help because they were cleaning rooms. Pretty sure a couple guests actually lived there, just hanging out in hotel and in the parking lots all days were stayed. Front lobby chair were all ripped, all of them. Staff was nice, hotel was adequate to sleep but no other amenities available.

Extremely comfortable rooms and good amenities. The towels were the softest and fluffiest I’ve ever seen. Enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay the only thing that sucked was people were coming in and out all night and would slam that side door

Of all the places in DL, this is the only place I’ve ever felt kinda nervous. Lots of people hanging around outside at all hours. Just an overall ickyness to this place.
