Room was nice and clean so was the pool

Staff could have been a little more friendly

The rooms are remodeled but some things in the room weren’t done.

Very clean hotel. Our room was right next to the elevator on the first floor, which was very convenient. We were above a courtyard area that was just outside the pool. We purchased a few items from the front desk, which we were able to charge to our room (again, very convenient). Room was well laid out with plenty of ports for charging electronics. Microwave was tiny and a little hard to reach if you’re vertically challenged (like me). I only had 2 minor issues with the stay. There as a persistent sewage smell in the hallway just outside our room. It went away for a few hours the first night replaced by chlorine smell from the pool, but came back for the duration of our stay. The other issue was one of the front desk staff, a female whose name I didn’t get. When I came to the front desk to purchase items she was on the phone. Not only did she not put the person on hold to speak to me, she never once looked me in the eyes. “Just those items? Which room#?” That was the extent of conversation. I would have been happy to wait until her conversation was over, but she never gave the option. I took my items to the breakfast area with my daughter so we could eat and listened to her yelling at someone on the phone. She was very discourteous. The rest of the staff I dealt with was polite, engaging, and friendly. The hotel was conveniently located, with plenty of shopping and restaurant options nearby. Overall, one of my better hotel stays.

Feelings of discrimination from the hotel assistant while attempting to check into our online reserved room. Because the individual claimed that the $50 security deposit cannot be charged to the same card used in the reservation transaction. We attempted over six separate EFT's with three different credit cards where each one was refused/declined. During our attempts we requested them to try manually inputting the credit card numbers, or attempting some other type of assistance to mitigate the issue with the electronic transactions. They claimed there was no other way to accomplish the input. Afterand we requested to speak to management and they refused. The situation escalated and they called law enforcement and refused our stay. Both of us are IHG-gold, retired USAF veterans and 30+ year Department of Defense civil servants. Five days now and IHG has not responded. Went to the Marriott Springhill next door and used same card for check-in with no issues, AND cheaper rate.

The only complaint I have is the noisy people at 2:00 am from the lobby area and down the hall Very nice breakfast, comfy bed and big bathroom

Rooms were clean. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was close to shopping and restaurants.
