I didn’t appreciate that it wasn’t clearly mentioned that the Grotto Spa is an extra cost. At $115 per person, it’s quite expensive, especially for a family, so we decided not to use it. It was advertised as part of the hotel, and I expected it to be included like the other amenities. The regular swimming pool is located in a separate building, and in winter, if you get a room close to the spa (like we did), you have to walk about five minutes to reach it. The pool is also quite small compared to the size of the hotel, which was disappointing. The staff were great, and the room was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the hot tub inside the room. However, overall, the experience wasn’t worth the price.

My grand daughter and I stayed at the resort to celebrate our birthdays. The one bedroom ocean front suite was spectacular, the beds, pillows and robes were the best ever! The moonlight view of the lights from nearby islands was magical and breakfast on the oceanfront patio was perfect start to our day! When we entered the suite we were royally welcomed by a personal greeting on the TV, very classy! The Grotto Spa mineral pool & hot tub was so relaxing, and the addition of the outside cedar barrel saunas was so beautiful! The fresh cedar smell along the path to the cloistered firepit seating areas was perfect. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and attentive to offer cold cloths, sparkling water and blankets for the firepit areas. We highly recommend the Grotto Spa and the Tigh na Mara resort, giving them a 5 star rating and will certainly be back!

I spent one night here, in a place with one bed, a kitchenette, and a balcony. The room looked and felt clean, and both the kitchenette and the bathroom were well stocked with what you'd expect. So housekeeping did a good job. I can't say the same for the overall function of the furniture or layout of the space. Please refer to my attached images for context. Basically, there was a fireplace in the kitchen, which prevented having a kitchen table there. So they moved it over by the patio door, but then you couldn't access the patio easily. That placement had its own problems because it blocked access to the desk/office area. Tucked beside all this furniture were even more items that got in the way of each other, literally. The couch, which faced a blank wall, was pushed up against the wardrobe, so you couldn't access it to open it. The TV was up and in a corner, so you'd probably get a kink in your neck if you watched it, but that's ok, cause they have masseuses there for 200/hr. Finally, the little rack for your clothes by the bed also had a nasty-looking broom and dustbin, which we all want next to us as we sleep, right! This place felt like it was put together by a person without any experience, and clearly had too much furniture.

Our group of 12 just got back from another great weekend at Tigh-Na-Mara, and it continues to be one of my favorite getaway spots. I’ve now stayed there twice with about the same size group, and it works incredibly well for a crowd. Having experienced both the "Cabin Ring" and the Ocean View Deluxe Suites, I’d recommend either depending on the vibe you’re after. The Ocean View Deluxe Suite This time, we opted for the suites. Ours was beautiful, very spacious, and equipped with great kitchen appliances. The ocean view was fantastic, but the real winner was the layout, it was the perfect size for all 12 of us to gather comfortably in the evenings to spend time together. The Grotto Spa & Cedars Restaurant The Grotto Spa was a major highlight. I initially wondered if two hours might feel like a long time, but it was so relaxing that the time flew by; it was actually hard to leave! The appetizers at the Grotto were delicious, and the facial I had was a perfect addition. We also had great meals at Cedars Restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff throughout the resort were welcoming and friendly, which really added to the relaxed feel of the whole place. Beach Access One thing we love is how close the resort is to the water. It’s just a short walk down to the shoreline, perfect for a beautiful stroll along the water. In the summer, it would be a prime spot for swimming. A Note for Groups: The Cabin Ring: Worked really well for our group previously. It creates a nice communal feel where everyone is close together but still has their own private space. The Suites: Offer a more elevated resort-style experience with those stunning views and I used my deluxe suite as a great central hosting space. All in all, just a completely lovely weekend!

Stunning location on the water. Fantastic restaurants nearby. Rustic Zen is the vibe, rooms on the water are stunning, but the beds are too small for two people unless you get a room with a king bed. The rooms have everything you need for home away from home. It's a bit overpriced for what you get, but these are the times we are living in. Super clean. Fairly quiet if you are near the ocean. The only service we experienced was at the front desk and at The Grotto, which we highly recommend if you are looking to treat yourself. Bring cash ;-)

Absolutely everything was fantastic, it’s the small touches that mades this resort a class act and a tough one to follow. This may have ruined me for any other place ,I can not say enough about staying here , from the well thought out rooms , spotless facilities and the incredible staff this place is amazing not to mention the beaches and the view.
