Best Western Savannah Historic District

No room service you and after we went down to the front desk, they tried to hand me my own clean towels, instead of bringing them to our room and taking our dirty towels they left trash in my bathroom sink tiles were broken and smashed on the floor in the bathroom overall terrible and breakfast was awful

It is currently after 2 am and we have just left this property! I have never seen such a disgusting sight! Woke at 2 am to roaches crawling all over the room! Woke to one on the nightstand! Looked and saw them ALL over! I have photos and video (unable to add video)!! We now see that there have been several complaints about roaches! Can not believe we are now stranded in Savannah! 1000 miles from home! We are not even going to stay in the city! This has ruined our trip! Have my father and our dog! I have NEVER in my life stayed at a more disgusting place! I intend on making anyone and everyone aware of this! Now we have to get our money back from hotels.com!! Unreal! Room 105 We arrived super late as it was! We’re exhausted and now just going to go home! We were planning a couple day stop on our way back north from Florida! Horrible representation of Savannah! Was our first time here! Gross!! Not interested in coming back!

Breakfast was decent, but a large tour group cleaned out the scrambled eggs and other items without the staff noticing. I had to open the kitchen door and tell the staff they needed items replenished.

Missing light bulbs on exterior hallways, overflowing garbage receptacle, dirt and grunge in hallways, and bathroom. Very dirty carpet in room. Sticky bathroom floor.

Location

Not clean, no microwave in room, front desk staff no friendly, staff outside front door smoking, yelling, inappropriate loud conversations. No towels or blankets in room at arrival. Having to pay to park after spending over 700.00 on the room.

About a 3 minute walk to the river to the left a two minute walk to city market to the right. Across the street a gas/convience store to grab snacks

Limited, not free parking. No beauty amenities, i.e. shampoo, cond., etc. Did have bar soap. Very noisy on street side. Coffee & breakfast was good, adequate. Staff was extremely nice & helpful. Very close to river walk.

Breakfast selections were good.

The carpets were stained and dog smell was prevalent, so bad I asked to change rooms, but 2nd room was only a little better, and same issue with dog smell. I had to ask for blankets, the coverings were too light. The towels were thinner than normal. The hallway to the back street rooms on the first floor was dirty and not lit, kind of creepy. Maintenance and upkeep were poor. Would not stay here again. Reception person was having a tough day and did not get a chance to eat lunch. I brought her some chocolate because it was busy and she was not going to get a break.

The location was good. Tho very noisy due to being right next to a busy street

Needed to ask front desk for a hairdryer. Furnishings need some updating. Amenities were lacking. Surface of bed frame hadn’t been dusted in a while. Rug should be removed and hard wood or tile should replace it. Towels could be plusher. Soaps and shampoos were very tiny.

Close to downtown, walking distance to River Street. Rooms and Bathroom were nice and clean.

Noisy from the street and guests above, due to Motel style of the Hotel rooms and older windows with no noise cancelation. Not too bad but not what we were used from other BW hotels.
