Super 8 by Wyndham Wausau

The bed was fantastic, very comfortable, the hot tub felt a bit gritty, had to do a good rinse before usung it, otherwise was very clean, roomy and very quiet.

Breakfast sausage was like chewing on leather, but otherwise was all good.

Very clean, reasonable, staff was nice and helpful. Close to many different places. Walking distance to a few restraunts

The room looked clean but there was a must, damp smell (like a wet basement) and the floor seemed like it had condensation. Several of the fixtures had rust on them, leading me to think there was an issue with humidity or water somewhere. The smell was bad enough that I did go to the gront desk and was told they would make a note of it. There was also a really strong cologne or perfume smell in the hallways and the carpets were dingy and dirty. The breakfast was great, the hot tub and pool area were clean and the beds were comfortable but I just could not get past the awful, musty smell of the room.

There were bed bugs. Within 5 min of us getting to our room we saw bed bugs. As soon as we set our stuff down and sat on the bed- bed bugs Along with the window being covered in spider webs with spiders all over in them. This after dealing with staff that didn’t seem to care about customer service while checking in. Needless to say- we did not stay. We quickly packed up as soon as we saw the bed bugs

Our stay was okay. When we checked into our room, we found that our room phone didn't work. Walked down to front desk to let them know. Someone came back to our room with us to take a look at the phone, and decided they needed to take it and swap it out for a new one. That new phone never did make it to us. So, the 3 or 4 times we needed to ask the front desk something, we had to walk down from the end of the hotel (#149) to the front desk, back to our room with the answer. Little absurd. Breakfast was pretty good and the stay overall was okay.
