Dirty, no coffee and many other things at breakfast

The rooms were freezing cold when we arrived, took a long time to warm up. Only a thin blanket on the beds. No TV channel guide. The free breakfast a little skimpy, no milk for the cereal, no waffle mix left.

Proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast options, especially the delicious waffles!

Hotel was terrible the rooms smelled musty, moly and old. Was very dirty the rugs where nasty. The bathroom was full of moly walls and toilet bowl was loose off the floor. This is one place i do not recommend or will never stay again. The pillows where all wasted and warn out ant the towels and rags where dirty. The iron didnt work either nessed up.my clothes. Some electrical sockets where not working and so they just put black tape over them. Just cery dirty, dingy and smelly.

Room smelled of mildew and mold - really smelled bad. Looked like mold had been painted over in the bathroom. Killed a spider in the room and there were plenty of cobwebs. Room was very poorly lit. I don't recall having issues staying here before, but will not likely be back.

Made a room reservation several months ago for a Streator HS class reunion. An AARP rate of $88.92 total was selected & a room reserved. Two days before the reservation I received a confirmation of the reservation, & the price of $88.92. Arrived & checked in. I was never asked to sign a C/C receipt nor was a copy offered. Assuming the rate quoted & confirmed was correct I left for home. When I arrived home I checked my C/C acct. & saw that I was charged $155.52 for the room & $2.00 for a key. I immediately called the hotel & was told that the rate was correct & couldn't be changed. I have protested the charge with Americinn by Windham & will with my C/C Co. Regarding the room it was dirty, & was the only room I ever saw with TWO toilet bowl rings! Indian staff & management were difficult to communicate with! I would give It two "D"s, Dirty & Dishonest! On the plus side, the woman at the front desk was very sweet and friendly. The shower in our room had great water pressure and the bed was comfortable. Sadly, the rest of the story…”back” door to the hotel didn’t lock. Reported to them and they confirmed that there was no lock. What? Several towels were stained. Pull out bed hadn’t been pulled out in I don’t know how long. Filthy. There was confetti in the pullout and no bedding. We cancelled a future reservation. AmericInn used to be a place we could count on. Very sad.

It’s an older bldg, but room was clean and bed very comfy! Staff was very nice. Sofa sleeper was very stained, along with towels provided. It was perfect just to sleep there. Bed was great.

Get back on the highway and go to another exit, and find another place. The hallway is not air conditioned so the hallway is like a steambath. The bathroom is shameful - more like what I would expect from a low budget place. I am posting photos of the paint job in the bathroom, which is typical of the paint job in the hallways. The person in charge of maintenance (probably the owner) should realize that you can't paint patches on the wall - you just have to paint the whole wall. There was a hair in the tub and there is mold where the plastic shower surround meets the plaster. Again, I am posting photos. I have stayed at many hotels, some fancy, some not, but I expect basic cleanliness and maintenance at the very least. Breakfast was not bad - not the best but not bad. The carpeting in the room appeared to be new. My daughter told me the hotel gave her the creeps and I regretted our stay. I would call Wyndham but I am hoping that they see this review.

Hotel is in desperate need of repair updating and needs a deep clean. Spiders in the bathroom, my toilet would not flush, called the desk and was told to come and get the plunger. Difficult to understand, thick accent. I do not like that you cannot have a copy of your bill with checkout to check for accuracy and make sure trip rewards were added. We are limited to hotels in the area, so that doesn't help. Area is good location near shopping and restaurants. Gas stations x2 within walking distance. I wish I would have taken photos.
