"We were not expecting much due to price and location. The single front desk staff was very pleasant."

Close to the event.

Very old and run down. Many of the floor tiles were cracked, very old and outdated bedding, furniture, and room decor.

Room was older decor but very neat and tidy. Beds were made and there was little staining around the room. What you can expect for the price but very happy with the hotel for my mother for the night. I can see they are renovating as well which I am happy to see.
