Republic Hotel of Ozona

Well I found a couple dead cockroaches in the closet. None in the room I could see. The shower worked but somehow the tub leaked all over the floor. The shower curtain was closed so it’s a mystery. Out of the way not a great place. The staff were wonderful!

Property was very clean, except carpet which had old stains, sliding door did not lock- had a makeshift pin to lock it- didn’t feel very secure

Depressing.

They make you a priority here and the rooms are spacious which is great even the double rooms they are huge and i loved that.

This was the absolute worse hotel I have ever seen in the 38 years of my life. From the beginning to the end I honestly taught I was in a scary movie. I first arrived to the main entrance and no one was there. I waited nearly 10 minutes before someone showed up. The key card also did not work. They had to walk a little black box to the door of the room. They could not open the door to the room assigned so they tried another door and got it to open. Me and my gf went inside and it didn’t end there. Instantly walked in smelled like moldy closet all over. The furniture looked ran down. The walls paint was old and peeling. The ac unit looked super old and dirty. The bathroom shower was disguising. No tissue box. No trash can bags on the trash. The shower head lever did not work. The bath tub was gross full of stains and had a bunch of dirty and white dust on it. If I could post pics here I would but it’s ok I’ll post them on google reviews. Everyone stay away from this place and run. You are better off sleeping in your own vehicles. The parking lot even looked sketchy. There was only two cars parked in front of the hotel and I believe they were the staff vehicles which they were all dressed in regular people’s clothes. My gf did not feel safe and so we left. I hope Expedia refunds us our money.

The breakfast is late 7 am must be 6 am

Very nice Hotel. Would suggest eating before you arrive because there is nothing around.Extremely friendly staff she was there when we arrived and 3 day later same representative. Excellent service.Rooms were clean.Highly recommended

Stopped in our way to Arizona for the night. Stains on both towels and sheets. Can't drive after dark so was not an option to leave. Tub was slippery and no bath mat provided. Furniture old and chipped. Carpet needs shampooing. Won't stop there again.

Property is amazing rooms are spacious..Just make sure you eat before checking in because there isn't anything in the area
