Novotel Milton Keynes

We’ve stayed here a few times and the rooms are all the same and we know what to expect when we stay there

Check out is at 12 and at 9am the housekeeper walked into our room while we were in the middle of getting ready for the day. This has never happened before but it has made me feel cautious to stay again

Location

The first thing i noticed was the dirty stained carpets in room, stained curtains & tatty furniture. I booked a room which was advertised with a garden view, got a carpark view and when I enquired at reception was told there are no rooms with garden views. Room was advertised at £81 with breakfast on booking.com but was charged £97.65 by the hotel. I questioned this at reception but found the staff defensive and unhelpful. I have stayed in several other hotels in this area and would gladly return to most of them, I would NOT want to return to this Novotel based on my experience.

We stayed one night at the Novotel Milton Keynes and had a very good experience overall. We chose the hotel because of the pool, as our two boys aged 7 and 9 love swimming. The pool was a good size, around 29°C, and both the pool and sauna were free to use with no time restrictions, which we really appreciated. We even arrived 1.5 hours before check-in, and the manager Arun kindly gave us towels and allowed us to use the pool early, which made our boys very happy. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed relaxing in the bath after a tiring day. There is also a beautiful forest near the hotel which we explored and loved. Breakfast was good and kids eat free, which is always a bonus. A special thank you to Arun, who was very attentive and handled some noisy teenagers in the pool area professionally to make sure guests could enjoy themselves peacefully. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily visit again.

Its good value for money so no complaints

Value for money I don't think it can be matched. Clean rooms, brilliant spa facilities and rituals in the showers in the room was a lovely touch.

Restaurant food was pretty bad. But didn't expect much.. 5/10

Comfortable, clean. Swimming pool, bar and restaurant on site. Good location, free, big parking on site.

No plug sockets at side of bed so can't charge phone- this needs changing.
