Holiday Inn Express Destin E - Commons Mall Area by IHG

Location and clean

First day we put a “do not disturb” sign on the door. Days 2 and 3 sign was removed but our room was never checked or cleaned. We had to ask for clean linens and took out our own trash that was overflowing .

Very clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great.

I did like the breakfast and the pool. The dove soaps were great too.

Our room was never cleaned. When we got back it was still the same way we left it and we had some diapers we had to throw away so the whole room smelled. Also we felt like the first night was hot cause the ac kept turning on and off and we couldn’t adjust it. The bathtub was dirty or at least had mold.

Bathroom dirty, need detailing clean. Breakfast was ok - coffee very week. Swimming Pool is very outdated and neglected, not the feeling you want to use it.

I liked where it was located I liked that it was close to the beach I liked that they had a micro in the room Breakfast was good for the value

No ice machine on each floor No Netflix Thin shower curtain with no plastic lining

Significant noise issues 3 out of 5 nights. Staff tried to deal with it. Multiple guests complaining. I requested a Mgr contact me and it never happened. Kids being rough in pool and about to destroy hotel property. Reported it to staff. They said they already reported it to management and that the management didn’t seem to care. So the kids continued to create safety issues with metal chairs halfway in pool and jumping off them while others were trying to enjoy the pool but instead had to dodge metal chairs.

Room was great and clean, and the breakfast was amazing
