I checked in to the room and checked out the room immediately! The room was dirty not up to par for the rate being charged, the smoke detector was broke the tv did not work the bathroom was dirty and to top it off it had roaches. I told the person at the desk and she told me to call in the morning to speak to a manager…I did and she told me they had to send someone to the room and check if there were roaches etc before I can get refunded my money. Needless to say I have not heard back nor have I received my refund. I would like my refund as I did not stay in that god awful room Thank you Michelle

The Location

I stayed at Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Long Island - Garden City for five nights (June 17–22). While I really enjoyed the Westbury area and found the staff to be friendly, courteous, and helpful, the hotel itself was very disappointing. The property is in need of a major renovation from top to bottom. Our room had a cracked sink, the bed was uncomfortable, and the overall condition of the hotel did not match the photos shown online. The elevators had peeling paint, and the hallways appeared dirty and poorly maintained throughout our stay. For the price charged, I expected much better accommodations. The online pictures make the property look updated and well-kept, but that was not the reality we experienced. The staff was the highlight of our stay, but unfortunately the condition of the hotel would make it difficult for me to stay here again.

This hotel is wonderful all around, every staff member is extremely accommodating and go out of their way to make sure the stay is as enjoyable as possible. The manager Roxanne as well as everyone else at the front desk are the best,

Not much. Nice staff but the facility was horribly over-priced ($350+ per night for a cheap hotel) and in bad need of updates, cleaning and repair.
