Pestana Palm Gardens

My husband and I stayed at this property for only one night. We fortunately did not pay a fortune for this kind of dated property. Florescent lighting in the kitchen, leak in the sky light in the upstairs bathroom, no outside light - almost really hurt myself walking to the front door at night, mold around shower door etc. This was probably a very upscale hotel in its day but now probably needs an facelift. The staff is super helpful and friendly as others have mentioned which offsets some of the datedness of the hotel. It would be nice if this hotel offered a shuttle to the downtown area or the beach with the steps since both are a steep up hill or down hill.

Walking distance to Seven Hanging Valleys hike. Beautiful pool area and apartment.

Everything was extremely clean. Facilities are super nice. I had no complaints and actually wanted to extend my stay here until 5:45 am this morning when I was woken up by the loudest construction noises ever. I’m possible to sleep once it started I’m so upset and really needed sleep. Even with the windows closed there’s no way to get sleep. Tried to sleep with. Tv show on to mute out the noise and that did nothing. I have literally never heard louder construction and that early in the morning is so unfortunate. I would highly not recommend staying here until you know the construction next door is over. I’m extremely upset I paid so much money to get no sleep.

Wonderful resort very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and welcome, the food is fantastic served by the most entertaining bar staff where nothing is a problem. The Chef is amazing. The pool is quiet and relaxing. The outside dining area on a summers night shouldn’t be missed.

Loved the location and views of the ocean. Easy walking to Carvoiero and beaches

Fabulous place to stay. Great pool and staff really nice working at the restaurant. Two things however. Some off the reception staff are very cranky and the beds are very hard. But mostly it was fab

The staff were all excellent and very helpful. Food was great and the apartment was fitted out with all the necessary appliances. Enjoyed a fabulous meal on our last evening, really gorgeous. It would be good if there was a little supermarket on site fir basic requirements.

Overall very good atmosphere around the pool and bar. Very kid friendly! Beds are uncomfortable and the cleanliness of the room was poor.

Pestana Palm Gardens was a wonderful apartment/ resort! Great location, complete apartment facilities, pool and fitness room was very good, But most of all, the staff were outstanding! Friendly, fast, perfect service.

Beautiful and amazing hiking and views. Lots of space!
