OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort

Stayed at OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort as part of a group tour in April. Rooms are nicely updated with enough room for two. Great beach that is only steps away. Shopping area a short walk from resort down the beach walk with restaurants and a bar or two. Nice set up. Area is little isolated from other island attractions on northeast side of island. Had an issue the first evening there. Our entire building suffered a power outage. Power was out a couple hours and came on sometime after we turned in. No real harm done but resort never acknowledged it. A si and a couple drink vouchers would have been welcome. A second thing that disturb us was booking though the concierge. We booked an evening sail and a luau. Thought I gave her a $10 tip that turned out to 10%. My fault for not looking closer at what I was doing. Price was pretty steep so I did some checking back in my room. Could have booked same excursions for $130 less on my phone than I was just charged not including oversized tip. I would have expected best price for guests. Went back next morning to talk about and see if I could get rebate back on the charges but concierge talked around issue and did nothing. Book your own excursions and save some money.

Great location and facilities. We were in the block close to the beach so had a great view. Nice dining options nearby with only a short walk to the whaling village. Great beach for swimming and wading.

The Maui brewery is only serviced eating facility on site. However there are other options close by.

The location can’t be beat! Right in front of the best part of Ka’anapali beach and walking distance to a number of shops and restaurants. Plenty of loungers scattered throughout the tropical gardens for guests to use too. Our partial ocean view room also had an amazing view of the sea which really topped it off for us.

No frills compared to some of the other hotels we looked at. Would be great to have a nicer pool area and gym facilities but this is reflected in the price we paid and the location more than made up for it for us!

Extremely convenient location right on the beach, about an hour from the airport. Clean rooms and property, quiet, friendly service and great vibes. Lots of great restaurants nearby within walking distance, with an outdoor shopping mall next to the restaurants. Prompt room service. Decent value but everything is an up charge so plan accordingly. Not all fees are disclosed early and will be added to balance at check out. Overall, would definitely recommend the property for those looking for a relaxing, beautiful vacation.

Loved the resort. Lyn was wonderful as were all the other attendants. Took great care of us. Construction was going on so wasn’t perfect. Had a lovely time. Definitely recommend

Location, great staff, great rooms

Pool area could be nicer but didn’t bother us since we only had a short stay and were in the Ocean

Our housekeeper was was great, friendly and attentive to our needs. Very much appreciated.
