Coconut Malorie Resort Ocean City, Ascend Collection Hotel

Though our time here was awful, the location was great and one of the three staff members we interacted with was very helpful and nice.

Our room wasn't ready til 45 minutes after check-in was supposed to be. We all had to sit in the car covered in sand waiting for room to be ready and push back our pre-planned night. After getting the 4 yr old settled for the night, we saw mice running in our room. We went and talked to the front desk and they didn't seem a bit concerned and simply stated "we'll let house keeping know". Seeing mice running around made this place feel very dirty and unhygienic, especially having a child with us. I've reached out twice to the hotel but haven't heard a word back so maybe leaving my concerns here will grab there attention. Also some minor things: -faucets in the bathtub we're backwards causing our 4 year old to turn on the hot water thinking it was cold because hot was blue and cold was red. -they don't tell you there is an additional parking fee til after you book.

Mold and mildew couches and mold growing on the walls inside of my hotel room. Stale smell , just awful. I would not recommend

WiFi was out for days and I had school to do!!

Everything was old and dated the picture of the room online didnt match the room we got. It was dirty and trash from the previous people that were in the room. Water was not hot and the pressure wasnt good either.

The pictures online present a really nice place, maybe that’s how it was once upon a time. But renting the flagship room with the jacuzzi in the bedroom was not how it was presented. All the furniture was old and scratched and chipped, the floor is damaged and stained, the soap tray in the shower is rusty and looks like it was never wiped since it’s install which speaks to the condition of a lot more things in the room as well. The jacuzzi couldn’t even be used because the jets didn’t work and every time you try to power them on they dispense dirt. The wifi in the room did not work on the tvs, had to use personal hotspot, about the only enjoyable part was the pool outside which actually seemed taken care of at least. But the unit was a disappoint to say the least, especially just peaking into a couple other units across the hall there are some updated units with new flooring and furniture, but there’s more wrong to the overall experience and it’s disappointing the most sought after unit was not treated with those updates (520). The space overall was nice and roomy, it just deserves to be treated a lot better. The two thermostats in the unit didn’t function at all, the room was always kept at 62 degrees, which is nice on hot days, but it was only 70 degrees outside. Stepping into the elevator is a good example of what is to come of the stay. The elevator control panel looks like it was never wiped down once. The place could do a lot better, people were excellent though.

Everything was fine but the bathtub was a little small and so was the tv.
