Super 8 by Wyndham Kingston

Good price, friendly staff, spacious room, comfortable beds, breakfast.

A little run down but not terrible for the price.

So unclean, our sheets were not even cleaned from the prior guest and floors were extremely dirty (clearly had not been cleaned in weeks). Bed bugs.

I didn’t like the property

It was full of welfare, housing, drugs, and fighting

parking was good and the staff were nice

The first thing is that we had to go buy air freshener for the room. It smelled bad upon arrival. Then there was the fact that they only changed bedding and towels every THREE days. We were only going to be there for THREE nights. No one was ever sent to empty our trash. Then the fact that all they had for breakfast was coffee and muffins. Also, we were awakened 4:15 in the morning and had to vacate the premises. No one ever explain what was going on. everyone just had to go outside until the firemen said we could go back in our rooms. That was about all 15 - 17 minute. We believe this hotel was mainly a Shelter.

It met my basic needs.

Very dark parking lot. The entrance was not clearly marked and difficult to enter logistically. GPS brought me to the back of the building to another block. There were shady people there, and it appeared that this hotel houses long term folks living in temp housing? Smoking is prohibited indoors but it was apparent that folks smoked. Two days in a row, a firetruck showed up due to an alarm, most likely because of smoking in the room. (One day this occurred at 4am). One of those days, the police were there too. One of the nights of my stay, there were unruly drunk people causing noise issues in their rooms and in the hall (yelling, pounding on doors, etc). When I checked out. Management was empathetic.

The location was good

Very dirty place full of bugs! The bugs weren’t a minor problem. This place had trash in the hallways, didn’t clean the room and had rude staff. Waited 30 min for check in while the staff was talking on the phone. Why did Booking have this mess of a facility on its site?
