Austria Haus

We had an beautiful stay from our very first interaction with their team. Wish we had chosen the creek side though. Our second floor view was of the eave of the building. Very convenient walk to the town and gondola!

This was our first visit to Vail, and I can honestly say that when we return, I will not look at any other hotels, I will 100% book Austria Haus again. Everything about this hotel is just lovely! The building itself is adorable, and the interior is equally reflective of a quaint European inn. The rooms are well appointed and perfectly maintained. Our family of 5 (3 adults, 2 teens) stayed very comfortably in a room with 2 queens and a rollaway. There was even a nice sitting area with chairs and a cozy fireplace in our room. The breakfast has everything you could ever need to fill up before you hit the slopes, and the food was delicious. The location of the hotel is also superb! It is an easy walk to a number of lifts, and there are so many shops and restaurants right outside your door. This is a smaller boutique hotel, and you truly feel like you are a welcomed guest, not just a number. Every interaction we had with every single staff member was genuinely hospitable and friendly. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! 10/10

The location of the property was excellent. Right in the heart of the town. It was easy to access the transportation centre, get the buses or just walk around.

The lack of ability to heat drinking water in the room. With the cold weather, that would have been a great feature to have in the room.

Excellent all around! Outstanding customer service. Great central location within Vail Village. Cozy hotel with a European feel. Delicious buffet breakfast served each morning. Highly recommend for a Vail getaway!

$60 overnight parking fee per night was a surprise fee. It's the going rate in Vail, but it would have been nice to know about it ahead of time.

We stayed at the Austria Haus for the first time on this trip, and it was absolutely wonderful. The central location in Vail Village is ideal—within easy walking distance of the village’s great restaurants, just across the street from the Vail Transportation Center, and a short walk to the gondola. The hotel also offers convenient ski storage at the base, which made getting on the mountain incredibly easy. The staff was exceptional: helpful, courteous, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The daily breakfast was very good, with a nice variety offered each morning. We loved the beautiful mountain views from the outdoor hot tub and pool. The room and bathroom are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the gas fireplace added an extra touch of charm, warmth and coziness.

We had a great stay at Austria Haus in Vail. The staff were excellent. Gladys and Paul at the front desk were super helpful and welcoming, and Richard and the team assisting with the car and luggage were great as well. They were very flexible with check-in and even let us keep our car parked for a bit after checkout since they had availability, which we really appreciated. The location couldn’t be better, just steps from Gondola One at Mountain Plaza and bus stop to Lionshead village. The room was comfortable, quiet, and well maintained. One small but amazing detail was the heated bathroom floor, which felt incredible during the cold weather. Breakfast was good, and the breakfast area itself was really nice and relaxing. For the price, it was absolutely worth it, and I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in Vail. Keep up the great service!

Austria Haus is the ONLY place that we stay when we are in Vail!!! The central location in Vail Village is perfect!!! It is close to all of the GREAT restaurants in the village. It’s just across the street from the Vail Transportation Center. Very convenient since we fly to Denver and take the shuttle to Vail. We can’t say enough about Austria Haus!! The staff is AMAZING….thoughtful, helpful, courteous, eager to please. The daily breakfast is excellent with a huge variety. Beautiful mountain view from the outdoor hot tub and pool. The rooms and bathrooms are HUGE!! and very clean!! And we love, love, love the gas fireplace. Say HI to Paul at the front desk….he is AWESOME, and always makes our stay extra special!!

A very cozy experience thanks to this hotel. Amazing location, right at the heart of the Vail village. The heated bathroom floors are such a plus. Special mention to the 318 balcony which gives you a clear and gorgeous Mountain View. The staff were very welcoming. First time in Vail and this hotel made the stay perfect.
