Great place to relax

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the rooms. They are very outdated and there is a musty smell throughout the room which no matter what they spray it’s still there. The carpets should be torn up and room tiled especially since cayman can be humid and there is only wall unit acs so not a great scenario. There is no ac in the bathroom. The furniture is way too big for the small rooms. With that said, being able to use the Westin property is awesome. If the rooms were renovated and there was central ac it would be a great hotel.

A very convenient location with pool and restaurant. We enjoyed our time.

We stay for 6 days. Sunshine Suites Resort is very good place to access like beach, super market, restaurant, etc. There is small kitchen in the room so we can cook and eat after buying food at near super market (Cos U or Spotlight). Of cause, we can use Westin’s amenity like beach and pool. It was amazing experience for us enjoying beach at Westin.

Location was great. The staff is very friendly!

The property is dated and does not smell great.

We chose to stay at Sunshine Suites because it was half the price of the Weston with the Weston resort benefits. We gave it a 5 star because of the amazing service. Some of the great employees who went WAY out of their way for us were Gill, Rena and Dennis. The rooms were pretty clean but in need of updates. (I believe that they are in process of renovations.) The beds were comfortable and the rooms were cleaned each day. There were no safes in the rooms but were told that they were being added with the renovations. The sink/stove/microwave were very nice. We grabbed some groceries at the Cost U Less (walking distance) and some alcohol at the liquor store right by the resort (by the restaurant Legends.) The restaurants prices were higher than in the US and in Cayman $$. All restaurants that we went to added an 18% automatic gratuity. Some of our servers were excellent and some were very average. Our favorite restaurant was Legends which is in the strip mall between Sunshine Suites and The Weston. They served big, delicious breakfast plates, had a really great sports bar (lots of TVs with national football, soccer, etc). You could order the (high quality) sushi there from the sushi restaurant next door. Our service there was top notch. The pool at Sunshine Suites was small but nice. If it was me, I would add ping pong and some outdoor games on the patio. They had filtered water and ice by the pool. We ate at the restaurant by the pool twice. The food was good but our service was very average. We used the Weston beach/pool daily. Even though it was Christmas week, there were plenty of beach chairs available. The Weston staff was nice. Drinks were about double the price as US prices. We ordered food on the beach one day and it was very good. We used the workout facility. It was busy in the morning but quieter in the off hours. We took a Stingray City tour through the hotel which was fun but packed with approx 100 people on the boat tour. Well worth it to experience the stingrays. We really enjoyed the trip. Thank you Sunshine Suite team for making it very special.

We have a wonderful stay of four nights. Beach is beautiful and walkable distance from the hotel.

Very clean and lovely property. As othered mentioned rooms need a renovation but everything sparkled and was well maintained.

What an absolute delight. The second we got here we were greeted by Ela at the front desk who was so kind and able to help make our situation as easy and seamless as possible. 100% I would recommend to friends and family. This place is even better than I expected.
