This past weekend I stayed at Fairfield by Marriott® Cleveland Avon from 4/11/2025 till 4/12/2025. It was a quick trip as it was a hotel suggested by the organizers of the North Coast Judo Championships held at the local middle school. Since I stay at Marriot Properties most of the time it was a no brainer. I reserved a room online. It’s a 5-hour trip to Cleveland and this hotel is right off the highway. There is a McDonalds and a couple other gas stations nearby and other restaurants that are available in the area. I checked in to room 127. I may have not been paying attention when I booked it as I usually don’t stay on the ground floor because of noise. Being that the hotel was booked solid so there weren’t other rooms available which was OK. We had two full beds. Both of us are two hundred pus pounds so they were a little small. The room had normal amenities; microwave, desk, min-fridge, and places for luggage. Everything was clean enough. The bathroom was clean and showed signs of wear and tear which is something I see with these hotels because of the volume of visitors they have. The next morning, I waited a little while for the continental breakfast so most of it was wiped out by the time I got to the breakfast area. Some of the families we were with used the pool area for their kids. The gym in the hotel was a good size than others I have seen also. The staff was nice and accommodating. The parking lot and covered car area in the front of the building was clean. I am not sure how old the property is? I am guessing 10 to 20 years old. I probably will stay here again next year if the tournament is happening.

The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. The continental breakfast was terrible. They made powdered eggs and dried out sausage.

Prices were high because it’s a weekend
