There was glass in the carpet that I got cut by and the rest of the room was dirty and gross

Wasn’t much to like. Price and star rating is horribly incorrect. This needs to be reviewed immediately. I booked based on its star rating and its barely a half a star at best. Extremely old, out dated, dirty, highly priced in comparison to the quality.

My stay at Sandown Regency Hotel & Apartments was good overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient.

Some aspects, like service speed and amenities, could be improved, but it was a pleasant experience.

The place was absolutely filthy. I only stayed here because it was extremely convenient and within the price range I could afford. I would not have stayed here if my wife had of been with me. No way. It’s not a nice place for a woman. Absolutely filthy. Filthy finger prints all over the inside of the door. The mould inside the shower was absolutely festering. They wouldn’t even know what a bottle of domestic was! I personally think they ought to be reported to the health department. The carpets stank, smelt filthy. Stained. And the beds, vile. Uncomfortable and old, lumpy! The tragedy of this place, was the first two nights I stayed there there was no heating, I complained. They did nothing. I was so tired I couldn’t be bothered arguing with these lazy staff. My wife complained. They said there were no complaints. I complained alright and they would have known. The next night, I accidentally booked this place again as they advertise two very different ads. I thought it was a different place. I turned up and exactly the same issues were in the second room I booked. Feasting mould and slime on the shower floor, filthy finger marks all over a dirt ridden door, revolting stench of old men’s cigarettes and God knows what else. My advise, Booking.com should NOT be advertising for these absolutely filthy people. Disgraceful.

The service that the staff provided met my expectations.

the ac wasn’t working as expected, through the website the regency claimed to have free wifi, but it didn’t work it said “No internet connection”. Also walls were really really thin, could hear people talk or go on their phones.

Location great. The Sri Lankan restaurant and cafe are EXCELLENT! Best food ever. Will definitely be back for that. Cleans sheets and towels were fresh. Airconditioning wonderful. Reasonable price. Staff friendly and helpful. Balcony great.

Pots and pans in room need replacing. Not enough bowls and plates and cutlery. No glasses. Lots of rubbish on the property that could be picked up to improve its outlook. A couple of extra pillows would be great.
