Comfort Inn Walcott near Davenport

Location, breakfast, quiet. Good staff.

Room had a musty smell but wasn't bad.

The property was only fair, usually there is a table in the lobby with water etc for travelers- empty; Walcott was in the midst of 100 temperatures, and there was NO ice in any of the machines, we checked all 3 floors! Had to go to Iowa 80 to get ice for our tumblers. Also the soda machines near the ice machines were empty, no bottled water offered at breakfast and whatever breakfast food was there seemed sparse and unappealing. We ate breakfast elsewhere....the main complaint was the fact that there was NO ICE!

Employee checking us in spoke horrible English couldn’t understand a word he was saying, he also messed up the check-in, kept on telling me I was someone else, as he stood there with my drivers license, room smelled was dirty, will never stay at this comfort inn ever again

Everything was good except the breakfast. They had eggs and sausage. But it was cold and I question possibly from the day before

The beds were comfortable

Upon entering the room there was a stale musty smell and the carpet was sticky. It wasn’t long before we found mould throughout the air conditioner, spent our night in a hot room that smelt of mould. We were very quick to get up and leave in the morning.

Only good thing I can think of it was close to Davenport and the end of Ragbrai

Room wasn't very clean for the price we paid. Even the mirror was dirty. Dog in room across the hall barked off and on all night. Elevator was out of order, we were tired after riding Ragbrai all week.Hallway had wet spots no sign marking it, not sure it wasn't dog urine because that is what the hall smelled like. Didn't eat breakfast ,so no comment on the food. Guy at the desk barely spoke English. Won't be staying at this hotel again.

Elevator was not working pool was ice cold and dirty, refrigerator in room was dirty, check in person was accommodating when we were on the second floor room and the elevator was not working. He was able to find a room on the first floor, but kind of rude when we checked out.

The property has a moisture problem (at least my room) however, it was clean, and was a place to sleep for the night. The staff were friendly and good at their job.

Kinda funky smell but w carpet in a pet friendly room i guess thats goning to happen. I personally keep my dog crated in rooms. But i have seen many people just let them run the room and jump on the beds etc... soo....
