Casa del Mar Cozumel Hotel & Dive Resort with free access to an exclusive beach club

This was my first time to stay here and chose this property because of the excellent dive shop right across the street. I will stay here again as my first preference

Hi Expedia Support, I recently stayed at Casa del Mar Cozumel Hotel & Dive Resort with Beach Club access included, booking confirmation Confirmation #: EXP-2250693488 . The listing promised access to a beach club, which was a major reason for my booking. However, the bridge to the beach is under construction, and access was completely blocked. This was not disclosed beforehand, and I feel this significantly affected my stay. I’m requesting a full refund due to the missing amenity. Please let me know the next steps. Almost There, But Missing Key Details Check-in at Casa Del Mar was smooth and friendly—but no one provided any information about the property. I wasn’t told about breakfast, the beach across the street, towel locations, or how to navigate with the nearby bridge closure. The bar area lacked atmosphere—outdated TVs playing soccer and no music. It felt uninviting. A simple switch to Caribbean music and something like cucumber water in the lobby would go a long way. The menu also needs updating. It looks like something from a high school cafeteria and doesn’t reflect the quality of the food. I’ve stayed here before and know the food is good—the menu just doesn’t do it justice. That said, the room was clean and comfortable, the elevator is a great addition, and there’s plenty of parking. Casa Del Mar is close to being a standout, but it needs better communication, ambiance, and presentation to match similar hotels like Blue Angel or B Unique.

There appeared to be multiple areas of mold on the ceiling. Also would be great if the rooms had ceiling fans

I love this wonderful hotel. Its quiet and the staff are great and the dive shop is fantastic.

The location is about a ten minute taxi from the ferry drop off - taxi rates are set, and the ride should be 150 pesos (approx $7.50) to and from the “downtown” area. Upon checking in, the hotel first caught ought attention that it is not on the beach. They have a private beach area, but it’s sparse and across the main road. The hotel is still nicely situated with a nice swim up bar pool, a paddle court and half basketball court. There is a pharmacy next door and a couple of nice local restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were nice and clean but the WiFi was VERY lacking. We seldom had much more than a basic signal, and would go to the lobby for a better connection. The rooms were cleaned daily and Al the staff were friendly. There’s an elevator which is always a plus, and overall the experience was positive.

Comfortable, clean and convenient. The pool area was nice and the little "beach" area had shade, another little pool, and a safe snorkeling area. The air conditioning was a blessing. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We also rented a car from the hotel which was very convenient and easy.
