"Charming Mexican Resort"

Casa del Mar is a charming resort that although not big and commercialized still includes all you would need to have an absolutely amazing time. You have ocean access with beach chairs, a pool, tennis court, and a wonderful restaurant with bar an incredible service. The rooms are beautiful and its is absolutely the cleanest resort I have ever stayed at. I hope to get to go back soon.

This was a perfect hotel for my wife and me. I could dive with several dive shops, and my wife could enjoy the pool, close to downtown, and several beaches.

"CONSTRUCTION IN PROGRESS"

Construction in Progress bed was horrible. Says 100% tobacco free but smoking around pool and at bar was tolerated by staff and management. Very friendly staff. Food was good. Property clean. No elevator for ADA access upstairs and baggage. Room we had was very dated. I think the mattress in our room was from 1975.

I have stayed at this hotel for over 15 years, sometimes more than once per year. But his may be the last time. The staff has been the main reason to return each year, they are really excellent, friendly and efficient. The hotel needs investment in the bedrooms (both the bedrooms and bathrooms), they are in fairly poor condition. Exterior bathroom windows are not sealed from mosquitoes, showers are poor and tile work generally needs replacement. The menu in the restaurant has hardly changed in the last 16 years, it needs to improve. The amount of choice is reasonable Ok but the quality needs to improve. The walkway from the hotel to the beach area has been in disrepair for several years but is now dangerous. Again I have to mention the staff are great, I hope the hotel can keep them.

"Location worked perfect for my dive trip. Clean, safe place to stay."

The location was right across the road from the scuba diving company that we used ( Cozumel marine World). Just had to walk over the pedestrian bridge over the road. Location was perfect for my diving trip.

No elevator to get your bags up to the 2nd or 3rd floor. But it looks like an elevator is in the works of being put in.

The age of the hotel is showing, you can tell it was built in the late 70s or 80s Needs renovations asap.
