Really clean rooms and comfortable beds. Provided tea and coffee and had good options for breakfast including fresh juices. The staff were really helpful and accommodating when we changed our booking last minute to include an extra person. The guest house is in a beautiful setting surrounded by jungle. It was lovely to wake up and have a coffee on our patio!

It is tucked away in a peaceful area which was lovely but requires taxi/bike rental (not a downside but just something to bear in mind!).

We appreciated the cleanliness.

Breakfast is not plentiful enough, they could add a pancake and see a fruit juice. I think they do this for business to make extra money.

Nestled away on a hilltop forest away from the hustle of the city Center, MAMARAS is an absolute dream for anyone looking for a quiet getaway. While there are small eateries around, the popular sunset bars and beaches are quite far away. The staff is also quite helpful and pleasant. I had chosen to stay here because it was close to the dive Center where I was getting certified, so it served my purpose. One tip: the standalone bungalows cost slightly more but are far far better. Would definitely recommend going for those

Just one tiny complaint - there wasn’t enough light in the room. Since the doors were glass, the curtains had to be drawn even during the day and the light inside was quite dim. Perfect for mood setting on a romantic getaway, but not for anything else

I prearranged pick up from wharf, a gentleman was waiting with a sign with our name as soon as we got of the boat. Helped us with luggage and made for a quick and easy exit from the wharf. The Guest house is a in a lovely spot close to Crystal Bay, Amok Sunset Bar -which offers free shuttle to and from Guest House. Also very close to Gamat Bay. Upon arrival we arranged a driver for the next day of the West coast, they arranged for us to have a break back at the Accommodation for a couple of hours and then dropped us off at Crystal Beach for the sunset and picked us up again later, all in the price for 1 day. Driver also took pictures of us as we went to different locations. The room was lovely, bathroom still looks new. Bed and pillows very comfortable. The cottage did get warm but does have air conditioning. Breakfast is basic but enough and you couldn’t expect more for accommodation at this price. Also has a lovely pool. We noticed English in Nusa Penida is not the same as in Bali, but the people are beautiful, and want to make your stay as best as possible. We would definitely recommend this Guest House

Quiet, clean, large room with huge bathroom and lovely deck. Breakfast included was good. Friendly, helpful staff. Awesome restaurants nearby.

You are in the middle of the west side of the island, a good hour walk to Gamat Beach. A good 30 minutes from the port and the water activities, stores, atm. You need a scooter or a taxi to take you places. They did rent scooters at the Guest House.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mamaras. The bungalows were great and the garden was beautiful. The pool was nice, with some great sunbeds. There is a restaurant (Larista) and a small store right next to Mamaras. Very convenient! We rented a scooter at Mamaras (which is very much necessary to get around), the scooter was perfect for the narrow and bumpy roads of Nusa Penida. All in all, we would highly recommend staying here!
