like the safe location not too much noise from neighborhood

We've always have a good stay at Tru by Hilton when we are in Elkhart and it is our hotel preference whenever we travel.

Would never use booking.com again. The lady at the front desk chased us down the hall griping about my friend's puppy that I had already made arrangements for on line and it was rather embarrassing. I felt it could have been handled more graciously.

Very clarn room

Tru hotels are very thoughtfully designed. There are hooks both in the bathroom and in the room, no single use plastics, decent breakfast, water bottle fillers and ice on the first floor, plenty of places to charge all of you devices a desk to use your computer at. All hotels should be this well designed. I would have given them 5 stars except the mattress could have been a little better not terrible but you’re never going to ask them what brand it is so you can buy one for your house. Quiet location with quiet A/C.

There are several places to stay in this area. The tru was clean and fairly new.

Once again, the problem with budget hotels is the other people staying at them. I knew we were in for loudness when the young man at check out was proud/happy about the huge parties that happen in the lobby at night. My bad that we didn’t immediately ask for a room upstairs. So, it was very loud on the ground floor. Especially with people hanging out near the pool table/in the “cool” lobby. LOTS of families with many kids running around. On top of that, the room walls are paper thin. It’s like an echo chamber with the high ceilings, NO carpeting and we had an adjoining room door that must NOT be closely fitted, cuz when the loud drunk neighbors came back at 1.45 am, we heard everything from the long discussion of when to set their alarm to his many, many loud yawns. We had to turn the AC wayyy down to come on and stay on to try to drown out their talking, which went on too long at that hour. The coffee had NO taste and our first cup (around 7.10 am) was lukewarm. Also, please move where the paper plates are located at breakfast. There’s a sworm of kids all around the pancake maker, making it tough to grab a plate to get some eggs.
