5 am wake up call was actually on time. Swat came to my door with riot shields demanding I wake the f**k up and smell the coffee

The way people live

Nothing out of the norm to like.

It was dirty, mold on ceilings of bathroom, drywall and ceilings and so forth need repairs, staff at front desk taking personal calls and continuing them when guest was waiting to be served, overpriced for the quality being received, nothing welcoming about this property, it felt like a place where trafficking would happen or substance use.

Good clean room and bed.

Pet noise

The Super 8 is just off the 401 and is pretty much a straight shot which was nice as we did not have to hunt around for it. There are some good restaurants close by as well as fast food locations (e.g. Tim Hortons, A&W, Fast Eddies, etc.). The shower, once the water warmed up, was ok. The bed was ok. Once you figured out how to use the TV it had shows to watch.

The place is in pretty rough shape and has not been maintained too well. We had to force our door closed to lock it and there was no floor mat or carpeting so wet footwear pooled in the hallway. You could hear all the other guests coming and going all night, slamming doors, loud voices, crash and banging of the ice machine, etc. It was also a bit off putting being told the front door would be locked after 7pm and you had to get buzzed back in. The whole experience was like staying at a backpacker's lodge or a youth hostel.

Staff is very kind.
