Not many options for breakfast.

This was my first time in Hawaii and The Ambassador made it a fantastic experience. Valet was kind and quick. Staff pleasantly checked me in and even changed my room when they realized my company booked the wrong one. They provide water, but there is also water refill stations inside. The lobby was clean and spacious. The room was great with a nice view on little deck with a table. The beds were SO comfortable, I almost didn't want to leave them. The shower took a second to figure out but once I did it was great and the water was nice and warm. I love the wallpaper and lighting behind the beds. Check out was easy and pleasant. And its only a 15 minute walk from Waikiki beach! I will definitely stay here again.

Location is ok, but not great. Rather on the far end of Waikiki district.

Big cockroach under bed. Room rather small, no view. Biggest problem was parking. Hotel asked for more than 50$ per night for a parking lot that seemed to be a public parking space. No clear sign indicated that this shall be a valet parking facility. Hotel only reduced charges after I requested to involve police.

The Room was very clean and tidy.

It's old (needs a little work). But overall it's fine.

Originally built c. 1960 with a second tower added in 1968, this property retains much of its original swank. A recent affiliate with Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, it is aiming to be a “boutique” rather than full service hotel. It is situated on the western edge of Waikkiki, across the street from the north side of Fort DeRussey, a block or so from the canal. It is a short 10 - 15 minute stroll to the heart of Waikki, and just across the street from where my meetings were being held. For a business trip, this was a great spot. Close to plenty of restaurants, parks, and the beach, but not so much of the street party atmosphere. Leading with its strengths, my room was large, comfortable, with a balcony, air conditioning that worked, a large well ventilated bathroom (no steamed up mirror), and 100% cotton sheets. I would stay here just for the well maintained HVAC and cotton bedding. The room has a hot pot, so for those of us who drink tea, there is no fussing with trying to make the drip coffee maker produce plain hot water. The room is stocked with coffee bags. The open air lobby is not large, but I did stop to enjoy the small garden or wait and found there to always be a private seat available. The parking valets were courteous and quick. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is good and the coffee is excellent. (I’m hitting all the critical business trip features.) I considered giving the property a 4-star rating because many of the restaurant’s breakfast items are served in plastic cups: overnight oats, greek yogurt parfait, and fruit cup; this detracted from breakfast. However, it was nice on my last day to pick up something to go the night before and store in my room’s refrigerator before my 7 AM flight, the waitresses kept my coffee topped up, and the restaurant’s atmosphere at breakfast was pleasant. In the post-COVID environment, the hotel defaults to housekeeping every other day, but does honor the Hilton standard of daily housekeeping though only upon request. I would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel staff friendly, rooms are chill with an attached restaurant with great food and drinks. Great views of mountains and oceans with good access to shopping and Waikiki beach.

The room that I stayed in was not very clean - even dirty. Walking around the room for a very short period of time the bottoms of my feet were dark with dirt. So dirty in fact that the dirt was visible when taking a shower. I have never experienced that by simply walking across any floor. I would not stay here for any future trips.
