Excellent food in pub and very hospitable host.

It was a really good price and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. They were extremely warm and welcoming. The whole dorpie was warm and receptive and I felt like part of the family after the weekend was done. It was clean and tidy and some of the older pieces in the room are solid wood and actually quite beautiful and unexpected for a backpackers.

The backpacker rooms are right next to a pub. Some of the people of the pub was sitting outside on our patio area (which is about 3 meters away from the bed). It is impossible not to hear the loud music and people talking. Thankfully, when things moved inside later at night it was mostly quiet and made for a good rest. I think if I was in a party mood it would have been fine, but it came as a surprise to see the pub was that close. There weren't much glasses or plates so bring your own crockery and cutlery. It was never a problem, because the pub helped out, but we did only have one mug the next morning to make our coffee and no spoons.
