Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson

Very nice hotel, quiet, best view of the nyc skyline. Breakfast buffet and dining area was great, servers Gabriel & Jelyn were very polite & helpful! Will be back very soon to visit.

Beautiful view and close proximity to PATH. We loved walking on the dock at night and taking in the wonderful Manhattan views. Our room was very clean with a nice sitting area. We also had a small window and we appreciated the fresh breeze. However, our first night was really, really loud. We had gotten up at 4:00 a.m. earlier in the day to catch a plane and hoped to go to bed by 10:00 p.m. We were unable to do so because of a loud jazz event above us. Please be aware when booking that there is an event venue on the 3rd floor. We were on the 2nd and heard drums and saxophones until midnight. I called and complained and the receptionist told me it was a private party and in her own words, there was "nothing they could do". This is also the first time I have ever stayed at a Hyatt that does not provide free breakfast for all guests with a free coffee station. We did have coffee in our rooms though. There is not a quick breakfast restaurant close by the hotel or anything like a "grab and go". We walked about 8 minutes to Whole Foods. Breakfast for us would have totaled $360 for a simple three night stay and since we actually prefer about 400 calories for breakfast, it would have been a huge rip off.

Fantastic hotel, and fantastic service. Huge shout out to Jelyn for the two amazing breakfasts that I had. Five stars for her alone!!!

10/10 hotel experience. Seamless online check in and check out. The hotel environment is chill, quiet and not overstimulating. The rooms were beautiful, we got a city view with a balcony and just could not have asked for a better room or experience traveling with little ones. Right next to the path station so was able to utilize that in and out of NYC. Can’t wait to come back.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel with fantastic views from all angles. Love the bar/restaurant area with the most stunning view of The World Trade Center and Manhattan. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful with anything you may need, no request is too small for them. Worth every dollar I spent to stay here. The Path is right outside the door and a quick 3 min ride and you're in the city!

Do not stay here. Customer service snapped at me multiple times, the final straw was coming back to the room at 8pm to find it wasn’t cleaned (there was no do not disturb sign up) and when I called they said oops too late the cleaning crew are going home, you had a sign on the door - there wasn’t it was an excuse and I had proof. I also had to ask them to vacuum the hall after I noticed dirt on the carpet for 2 days - it was so visible I was in shock. Stay anywhere else.

Super convenient access to the city with PATH literally next door. One stop to World Trade Center with access to almost every train to get you anywhere in the city. Breakfast buffet was meh ... servers were less than excited to be there and we waited a long time every day to get our bill. Rooms were spacious and clean.

The amenities and room were great. The hotel is very close to the Path station to World Trade Center. Breakfast as a Globalist was great. I normally stay at the Hyatt House nearby, and this one is a step up. I will say I still prefer the Hyatt House, as it is slightly closer to the light rail and neighborhood amenities. The Hyatt House gets more room noise from the light rail, but the Regency gets a lot more noise from the ballrooms (see below). I would have loved to be given the option to not be directly under a wedding event. The noise and bass of the music between around 7pm and midnight was jarring. Sound proofing between event spaces and rooms is a serious concern at this hotel. I think the hotel should do a better job of keeping event guest rooms directly next to the ballrooms so that non-event guest are not so close to them. I noticed many wedding guests on mid hotel floors, and I got placed on the 8th floor directly under the ballroom.

Early check in fee, $50. Key cards not activated properly at check in and as an added bonus, bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly, hairnet was found in the shower.
